Stunning Contemporary Home, a River Penthouse on Russian River, like No Other!!
Just fully renovated, "California Dream," a breathtaking Glass House, is 3,200 sq. ft. with a 2,500 sq. ft. deck and catwalk. Like a Blue Jay's nest in the adjacent 200 year old walnut tree's canopy, the house is 25 ft. above ground. It's perched on 2.8 acres of prime "lazy tubing" River Front Property. Dip in and out of the river all day from its grand 500 sq. ft. seasonal dock.
The deck and dock, skybox and courtside seat, let guests watch who and what floats down the sauntering summer river. In the fall, in addition to wine tasting, the house is great for binge watching football inside, and playing football and golf outside.
The property's Redwood Trees, jarring in size and longevity, welcome and embrace the entrance and front of the house. The house's openness and brightness coupled with the property's privacy, size and natural setting create a tranquil environment.
"California Dream" is bordered by: "Northwood Golf Course," "The Bohemian Club," "the Russian River," and between "Monte Rio Beach" and "Johnson's Beach."
Jenner Beach and Goat Rock Beach are 11 miles west, while Korbel Winery, Porter-Bass Winery and Armstrong Woods are 7 miles east.
Otherwise, just peacefully float throughout the house and onto the deck: make a gourmet meal in the gourmet kitchen, or grill and have cocktails on the deck. From the extra large hot tub, relax and watch the river, sunshine, and sky parade by before the stars and moon takeover at night.
"California Dream" is a contemporary River Penthouse retreat in which to rejuvenate, build bonds, and make lasting memories in a handsome natural setting. It's complemented by an architecturally compelling space in which to live. It is an exceptional mid-century house with provenance that has been refreshed with care, modern design and materials.
"California Dream" is 70 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge.
To BOOK "California Dream" the owner must speak directly to the prospective guest to address some specific conditions for booking. We are new to renting out our renovated home, as a short term rentals, directly to strangers, so we need to make sure we are doing things appropriately. A mutually beneficial relationship. We don't want to over commit and we want to make sure guest have reasonable expectations. We strive to prove an exceptional vacation rental experience, so "open communication" is paramount.
Ideally, we want repeat guests to reduce wear and tear on our home. We spent a considerable amount of effort with this renovation so we don't want a few bad apples spoiling things for future guests and for my family.
I appreciate your consideration, understanding and support. Hopefully, you'll enjoy the home as much as my family has for the past 10 years. Although, we never got to live in the remodel, outside the pandemic.
Located in Monte Rio, this vacation home is next to a golf course and on the beach. Russian River and Armstrong Redwoods State Park reflect the area's natural beauty and area attractions include Pee Wee Golf and Arcade and Rubicon Adventures. Wild Flour Organic Gardens and Sebastopol Center for the Arts are also worth visiting. Kayaking, water tubing, and rafting offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with cycling nearby.
