Dr. Rifkin received her DVM degree in 2004 from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine with her clinical year at the University of Georgia. She completed a small animal internship at Atlantic Coast Veterinary Specialists in Long Island, New York. She remained in New York to complete her residency training in internal medicine at the Animal Medical Center in New York City in 2008. During her residency she also worked at North Shore Animal League, a no kill animal shelter. Dr. Rifkin most recently comes from Dallas, Texas where she was practicing at the VCA Animal Diagnostic Clinic. She has a particular interest in immune-mediated, infectious, gastrointestinal diseases and anemia.

Dr. Rifkin anticipates becoming board certified in internal medicine during the summer of 2012.
