Your vacation home away from home is tucked away on a quiet cul-de-sac in West Dennis in a peaceful wooded area that borders Kelley's Pond.

Dennis is the perfect spot to spend your vacation and a centrally located to enjoy the bounty of things to see and do here on the Cape. A perfect spot to enjoy the Three R’s of a fun Cape Cod Summer ..... RELAXING, ROAMING & RESTAURANTS !!!

• Sheets and Towels (Bath/Beach/Kitchen) are not provided
• For our guest's safety, we recently had the fireplace inspected. Unfortunately, the flue lining is cracked making the fireplace inoperable.
• Summer rentals are 7 nights and are Friday to Friday. You can enjoy a full weekend on the Cape versus two broken weekends.
• Your Vacation Home is part of a family-run duplex. Yet it feels like a stand-alone cottage as you do not share any common space, or amenities with your neighbor and the outdoor spaces are at the ends of each home for true sense of privacy and separate entrances and parking for each vacation home.
• We currently have outdoor security cameras in place. One positioned at the front door of your rental but we may install one over the driveway. We mention this up front to fully inform guests before arrival in case that is placed.

THE DETAILS
THE HOME – You enter your home into the airy and bright living area with it’s comfortable furnishings. The living room opens to a generous eat-in kitchen with granite counters, stainless appliances and a table for family meals, games etc. There is a slider in the living area that leads to a brand-new spacious deck with a patio set and umbrella and separate seating area with settee and chairs. The deck and the view is a perfect spot for enjoying your morning coffee, reading a book, enjoying a meal or simply relaxing after the beach while watching the sun descend over the pond and enjoying your favorite beverage. The eat-in kitchen has stainless, fridge, stove and dishwasher. The bath has a tub/shower combo. The home has hardwood flooring throughout the living area, hall and it's three bedrooms.
The home is pleasantly decorated in an understated seaside décor with some soothing & serene coastal colors including many natural fabrics and some vintage distressed woods. The home has three bedrooms all with hardwood flooring and one full bath (tub/shower combination). There is also an enclosed, outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach.

THE LOCATION – Dennis is brimming with an endless supply of summer activities that your whole group is sure to love. West Dennis is home the the ever-popular, mile long West Dennis Beach. The town has a wonderful mix of grand historic homes and waterfront estates to simple, cozy beach cottages.?

THE BEACH - Of, course your trip wouldn’t be complete without a day (or several) spent at the beach and there are 16 public beaches in town including two fresh water beaches. The beach is always a part of a Cape Cod vacation and West Dennis Beach is your closest beach to The PondView. It is a 4-minute drive (1 mi.) West Dennis beach is a mile long stretch of easily accessible waterfront. It also has ample parking that stretches all along the waters front. Simply back your vehicle in, unload & the sand is just one step up. making this beach perfect for families with young children and those with a mobility issue. Many locals and visitors are daily walkers morning & evening on the mile long paved area set back from the shore. You won't have to travel far to sample additional beaches. You will also be just minutes to several other popular Nantucket Sound beaches and don’t forget Dennis has 16 public beaches to enjoy including the wonderful beaches on the bay. Dennis is one of only a few towns to enjoy both bay side and ocean beaches.

DINING CHOICES - You will have a myriad of dining choices from family fare to fine dining. From The PondView you will be within walking distance (.5 mi) to 2 water view restaurants and minutes away to several more. Here is just a sample of some of the more popular Dennis summer spots, water view restaurants and beach bars....they include but not limited to ..........The Sand Bar, The Summer Shanty, The Lighthouse Inn, Sundancers, Clancy's, The Pelham House, Ocean House Restaurant & Beach Bar, The Cleat and Anchor, The Oyster Company, Chapin's, The Red Nun, Sun Dancers. And the list goes on and on!

ACTIVITIES - There is lots to do nearby for the active vacationer....... kayaking and stand up paddling along The Bass River just down the road and there is also a public launch area for kayaking right on Kelly’s Pond. West Dennis beach is favorite amount Windsurfers and Kiteboarders. Several popular public golf courses within minutes. If you have a boat to bring along there is a public town dock where you can launch your boat just 3 mins. away. And if tee times are on your mind.......don't forget that we also have two great public golf courses in town, and both offer outdoor dining. Also Blue Rock GC is just 2 miles away. Take a short drive ( 5-10 min) to several parks and nature trails. There are also several public tennis courts in town. And for cycling, The Cape Cod Rail Trail (CCRT) is just minutes away. The CCRT is a 25-mile-long cycling trail from Yarmouth to Wellfleet. The trail will take you past lakes, cranberry bogs and other classic Cape Cod scenic vistas. You will also be within minutes of several locations where you can take a ferry to the islands of Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. Sportfishing charters can be found minutes away and leave from Saquatucket Harbor. And of course, there are a load of family fun activities (see below). There is something for everyone.

CHILDREN - Family fun is at ever present here.. You will find many family-friendly activities nearby here in the land of ice cream parlors, mini-golf courses, candy stores, paddle boat rentals, mini golf, bumper cars, several great playgrounds, batting cages, arcades and family activities abound. And, all of it can be found within less than a 15-minute drive of The PondView.

ACCESSIBILITY - The interior of the home is all on one level and the rooms do not have any thresholds. However, there is a set of stairs leading into the home as well as terraced stairs that bring you up from the parking area.  The deck also has several stairs that lead into the grill/back yard area.   Also, the bathroom door may not be wide enough for some wheelchair users.

OUTDOOR SPACE - There is a brand new, expansive deck off of your living area space for dining and relaxing. It also has a peek-a-boo view of the where you can watch the sun go down in the evenings. There is also a new, enclosed Cape Cod Shower.

LINENS - We do not provide linens (sheets & towels) but there are local vendors who do.

UPDATES _ This is a newer home for us & we have undertaken many projects (big
& small). New windows are on our list of upcoming projects. So, if you think this might be a deal-breaker, please reconsider booking our home.

2023 COVID DETAILS - We are back to pre-COVID check-in/out times 3PM/10AM. Pillows, blankets and coverlets/quilts have also been returned for your use. COVID and it's variants may still be a threat and we suggest that you take care to ensure your personal safety. We continue to offer antiseptic cleaning supplies and hand sanitizers.

OFF SEASON RENTALS - The Cape is known as a summer resort, but we currently offer this home year round for our guests to enjoy. Historically, The Cape does not receive incredible amounts of snow. However, in winter, if snow proves to be a safety issue we may have to cancel any bookings for our guest's safety.

Located in West Dennis, this vacation home is near the beach. Hyannis Harbor and Ocean Edge Golf Club are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Cape Cod Beaches and West Dennis Beach. Cape Cod Inflatable Park and Cape Codder Water Park are not to be missed. Practice your golf swing on a nearby course, or enjoy other activities in the great outdoors, such as cycling in the area.
