ABOUT THE ISLAND'S RENTAL SEASON
We have a short 3 month tourist season on the island. Camping on public land on the island is not allowed. Camping on private land is allowed.

ABOUT THE BIRDHOUSE TENT
An off the grid, star gazing glamping tent nestled at the edge of a quiet tidal wetlands. *Please note, you are not camping on the ocean's edge.

The island offers dozens of breathtaking hikes available along with ocean’s edge and at different inland locations. All hikes are easy to access! Life is simple and easy being here!

HIKING:
You can discover many of the trails owned and managed by the Vinalhaven Land Trust on their app. Search 'VHtrails' in app store.

BIKING:
The island is bike friendly. It is approximately 23 square miles. *I do recommend experienced bike riders only, as there are no biking lanes on the island. You are sharing a rural, windy road with cars.

Located in Vinalhaven, this vacation home is in a rural area. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Perry Creek Preserve and Lawson's Quarry, while Vinalhaven Historical Society and Art By Katy Gallery are cultural highlights. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
