The space
The Hickory Hill House is a charming, circa 1935 bungalow with approximately 1500 square feet heated/cooled space and almost 300 square feet of front porch.

This home is just two blocks from our other listings ‘The White House’, ‘The Pecan House’, ‘The Boho House’, ‘Grandmother’s House’, and ‘The Little House on Pecan’.

The Hickory Hill House sits high on a corner lot with lots of pecan and oak trees. There are no steps at the back entrance of the home. There are four steps to navigate from the parking area before arriving at the back entrance. There is central heat/air in this all electric home.

Our home has inviting, comfortable decor with a mix of new and vintage items. There are large living and dining areas with plenty of seating. The living room has an electric fireplace that can be used with OR without heat along with a 50” smart Roku tv, sofa, settee, and two comfortable chairs. There is a desk in the main dining area along with another sofa and two wing backed chairs. The breakfast room is just off the kitchen. Fully functional kitchen with stove, oven, fridge, and dishwasher. There are necessary utensils, cookware, and dishes to cook and serve a meal. Drip coffee pot and Keurig available. There is a large, enclosed back sun porch with washer and dryer, sofa, and two chairs. King bed in main bedroom. Full sized beds in the other two bedrooms. There is one full bathroom with tub/shower combo. The bathroom is accessible through either of the front two bedrooms, which is typical in many of the historic bungalows. There are two SMART ROKU TV’s in the home connected to FIBEROPTIC internet. One tv is in the main living area and the second tv in the king bedroom. There are NO cable or satellite channels but plenty of streaming options including Netflix, Hulu, etc.
Guest access
Curb side parking for cars and trucks. There is a one car garage. However, to park in the garage, you will need a high clearance vehicle, such as SUV or truck due to the slope of the drive. Guests will be able to access the home 24/7 with an easy to use keypad lock. No key necessary.
Other things to note
There is an elementary school approximately one to two blocks from this home. It is also close to the downtown area. You may be able to hear church bells on Sunday mornings.

Texarkana is home to this vacation home.
