This home can be rented as the entire 4 BR/2 BA home or as two separate 2 bedroom/1 bathroom apartments. This listing is dedicated to the whole house. See our other listings for the "upper" & "lower" apartments.

ABOUT THE HOME

When we purchased this home in 2017 it was completely updated with fresh paint, new flooring, new carpeting, and new updated bathrooms.

Additionally, we furnished the home with all new furniture, bedding, linens, TVs, and the kitchen equipped with new dishes, glassware, cookware, small appliances.

As soon as you enter the home you'll find yourself in the open living, dining and kitchen area. Beautiful new hardwood floors, granite countertops, lots of cabinet space in the kitchen are just the beginning of the amenities you will find in this home.

Upstairs in the living room you'll find comfortable seating and a large 40" HD flat screen TV. The dining table seats eight people.

Located on the main floor is the spacious master bedroom. Quality linens and bedding grace the king-sized bed. There is a walk-in closet and a beautifully done en suite bathroom. The large vanity offers two sinks with granite countertops for your convenience.

Across the hall is bedroom #2 which has another king-sized bed. This bedroom shares the bathroom on this floor with the master bedroom.

Downstairs are two more bedrooms and another full-sized bathroom. One of the bedrooms has a king-sized bed; the other bedroom has two twin sized beds.

Your group will enjoy relaxing and hanging out in the spacious "Liberty University" themed family room (or "rec room") downstairs which is equipped with a 55" HD flat-screen TV and Blu-Ray DVD player and video library.

NOTE: Both TVs in the house are equipped with Roku live TV channels and streaming capabilities. You can either sign into your own premium streaming services using the apps on the TV (such as Netflix, Hulu or Prime Video) or stream content from your mobile devices. (Cable TV channels are not provided.)

A full-sized washer & dryer are located on the downstairs level.

This home offers 2 outdoor spaces. Just off the kitchen you'll find a spacious screened porch, equipped with a table & benches for outdoor dining. Enjoy a meal al fresco at the picnic table or a cup of coffee or glass of wine while relaxing on this charming porch. On the ground level in the shade of the upper deck is an old-fashioned porch swing where you can relax in the quiet atmosphere of this pastoral setting.

NOTE: The house does not have an outdoor grill.

YOUR HEALTH IS OUR CONCERN

Our home is thoroughly cleaned after each guest. Our housekeeping service uses CDC approved antibacterial cleansing agents and focuses on frequently touched surfaces such as tables, doorknobs, deadbolts, remote controls, light switches, countertops, handles, toilets, faucets, sinks, etc.

Additionally our home has been equipped with a REME HALO® whole home in-duct air purifier, which according to the manufacturer "is the next generation of indoor air quality (IAQ) technology and capable of purifying every cubic inch of air that your central air conditioning system reaches. Thoroughly tested on airborne and surface bacteria & viruses, such as MRSA, e-coli, and Norwalk, to name a few."

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!

We bought our "Candlers Mountain Retreat" because of its VERY CLOSE proximity to Liberty University, just 4 minutes away down Candlers Mountain Road! We knew that families and people coming to Lynchburg to attend events at the University or visit students at the University would be our target audience and welcome guests so a close location was the main objective during our property search. This property was the closest home to LU on the market and we are very excited to be able to offer this conveniently located property as a temporary "home away from home" for our guests.

•You are willing to sign a copy of our rental agreement which will be emailed to you after your booking is confirmed
•You are not a smoker
•You do not want to bring a pet
•Your party does not consist of more than 8 people
CANCELLATION POLICY (unless otherwise indicated on specific websites such as Whimstay):

100% refund if the cancellation occurs at least 30 days before arrival.
50% refund if the cancellation occurs at least 14 days before arrival.
CHECK-IN TIME: 4:00 PM local time
CHECK-OUT TIME: 10:00 AM local time

Rustburg is home to this vacation home. Sandusky Historic Site and Civil War Museum and Lynchburg City Stadium are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at James River and FYAA Forest Recreation Park. LaHaye Ice Center and AMF Lynchburg Lanes are also worth visiting. Spend some time exploring the area's activities, including golfing.
