This is the perfect blend of privacy and togetherness, with each suite offering its own sitting area with a flatscreen TV, a queen bedroom with another TV, a full bathroom with a shower/tub combination, and such at-home comforts as free WiFi, air conditioning, and cable service.

These two suites are part of The Colonel's Suites, which are located just above Colonel's Restaurant and Bakery in quaint downtown Northeast Harbor on Mount Desert Island. You can easily walk to the harbor if you follow Main Street, Sea Street, and Harbor Drive, with a number of charming shops, restaurants, and galleries located in the surrounding blocks. Best of all, the boundary of Acadia is only one mile north, so you can quickly reach such landmarks as Jordan Pond, Bubble Pond, and Eagle Lake.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Located in Northeast Harbor, this vacation home is in the mountains and by the sea. Bar Harbor Whale Watching is a popular attraction and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Acadia National Park and Acadia National Park's Visitors Center. Naturalist's Notebook and Wild Gardens of Acadia are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
