The history, the details, the versatility. The remote-control gate leads you down a private driveway to a beautiful totally fenced courtyard with 2 screened in porches, a dining deck, lovely low maintenance gardens, lawn, and off-street parking for 3 cars. The spacious "living" front porch is surrounded by a formal front garden perfect for entertaining. The grand reception hall with it's one of a kind staircase, fireplace nook and arch framed diamond windows is amazing. It is so big it could be used as a formal living room or fabulous dining room with extra-long table. The front to back hallway accesses the living room, the brand-new entertaining, gourmet kitchen, a bonus room which can be used as a bedroom, home office, or family room is privately connected to the laundry and full bath. The second floor with 3 enormous bedrooms each with an original fireplace and sitting area, the master bedroom sports a boutique walk-in closet and private double vanity bathroom. An open staircase leads to the third floor which is finished with two bedrooms, a family room with a wet bar, and full bath. The original diamond paned windows have a beautiful view. The second-floor hallway leads to a glassed in “sleeping porch” with beautiful soaking tub and views of the rear garden.
Garland Hill, a neighborhood in Lynchburg, is home to this vacation home. Legacy Museum of African American History and Lynchburg Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Monument Terrace and Point of Honor. Amazement Square and AMF Lynchburg Lanes are also worth visiting.
