Looking to get away from the daily grind and out of the hustle and bustle for a little while? Don’t want to sacrifice privacy while doing so? There are a lot of nice waterfront houses on North Carolina’s Outer Banks. However, whether it’s watching scores of dolphins make their way north from inside your huge great room (or from one of the waterfront decks), taking in the sound of the Atlantic, or swimming, fishing, and/or lounging on our wide, uncrowded beach, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a location offering a better combination of views and privacy. Being conveniently located near shopping and restaurants when you want to venture out is yet another great feature! This home is in peaceful Southern Shores, 1 mile North of the causeway and one mile South of Duck. The perfect location for a family vacation, Southern Shores has marinas, hiking/bike trails, tennis courts, and several nearby golf courses.

The Layout
Upper Level:
- Huge great room with spectacular ocean views, plenty of seating for everyone, smart tv with cable
- Large, well-equipped kitchen featuring two ovens - bordered by a large counter-top/ bar offering plenty of stool seating
- Separate dining area with large 10-person table

- Large deck with plenty of comfortable furniture for relaxing
- Huge Master bedroom suite that includes large sitting and dressing areas
- Half bath just off great room

Ocean/ Lower Level
- 5 bedrooms, 4 of which have sliding door access to decks leading to the private beach walkway (two suites - one with a King, one with a Queen; one bedroom with w/2 Queens; one bedroom w/2 Twins; and the 5th bedroom w/ 2 bunk sets)
- Large garage converted into family/game room with TV, sofa, 2nd fridge, pool table, foosball, and shuffleboard table
- Laundry area
- Outdoor features include a pool, hot tub, dune top platform, gas and charcoal grills and two enclosed outdoor showers

* Pool can be heated for an extra $500/week. Pool is closed Nov-Feb.

** From May through early September, there is a 7-night minimum stay and bookings are only accepted from SATURDAY - SATURDAY.

NOTE: Please be advised we require the guest booking the reservation to 1) acknowledge and sign our short-term rental agreement (sample is attached) and; 2) provide a copy of a photo identification (Driver's license or Passport). Please ask if this is unclear!!

CANCELLATIONS - Important: Please review the cancellation policy in the attached short-term rental agreement. It is more accommodating than the standard VRBO-provided policy… which states there are no refunds if reservations are cancelled. Instead, we know life happens...and we want to work with guests. As such, if, for any reason, a Guest cancels this Agreement more than one hundred-twenty (120) days from the Arrival Date, Guest will receive a refund of amounts paid, less a $500 processing fee. If the cancellation is requested 120 days or less from arrival date, all monies are forfeited unless Owner is able to re-rent the Property under the same (or better) terms and conditions of this Agreement, for the full Term reserved. If the Property is re-rented under the same (or better) terms and conditions than this Agreement, Owner will refund amounts paid, less a $500.00 processing fee.

NO PET POLICY: Please note that the owners stay in the home when it is not rented. As such, no animals - to include service animals - are permitted at the property.

Located in Kitty Hawk, this vacation home is on the beach. Travelers eager for a bit of culture can stop by Wright Brothers National Memorial, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Kitty Hawk Beach and Jockey's Ridge State Park. Traveling with kids? Consider Children at Play Museum, or check out an event or a game at Pine Island Racquet & Fitness Center. Break out the clubs and hit the links with a golf course nearby, or seek out an adventure with hiking/biking trails.
