"I had no idea that this beautiful corner of Colorado existed! The ranch is located in a private, serene and just-remote-enough location. Views outstanding. Wildlife is abundant. We saw bear, moose and deer. There are amenities for every level of camper, from "I don't camp, give me a vacation house" to tent camping. Achonee Cabin, named after Mt Achonee in the Indian Peaks Wilderness, is a cozy, one-bedroom cabin furnished with a queen bedroom, full-size sleeper sofa in the living room, a kitchenette, and a full bathroom. Achonee cabin boasts some of the best views on the property right from the kitchen table. This cabin also has an oversized deck with a grill and private gazebo that sits on the edge of Little Indian Lake. You can almost fish from the deck, it’s so close to the pond. The views from the cabin are some of the best at AVR.

To enhance your stay, a resort fee is included with each accommodation, offering access to an array of seasonal and year-round amenities. All activities are available on a first-come, first-served basis. During the summer, dive into adventure with canoes, paddle boards, mountain bikes, fishing poles, and outdoor games like volleyball, horseshoes, cornhole, and ping pong. In winter, enjoy snowshoeing, sledding, and our ice-skating rink. Year-round, you’ll find comforts like complimentary coffee, Wi-Fi, cleaning services, and a variety of board games.

Pets are welcome in our cabins for $25 per night, with a maximum of 2 pets. A maximum of two vehicles can be parked at the Achonee Cabin.

Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre and Kauffman House Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Cascades of the Rockies Bookstore and Lilliput Mini Golf. Enjoy the area's slopes with cross-country skiing and snowboarding, and don't miss out on the snowmobiling.
