Two minutes of walking gets you to the famed 804 Trail, which meanders along the rocky coastline south to the village of Yachats with smashing ocean views along the way. Your reward is the open sandy beach of the Yachats River estuary, with wheeling sea birds and forested hills that will refresh your senses. You can also walk up to the many restaurants and shops and see why Yachats is called the “Gem of the Oregon Coast.”
The upper-level great room has ocean views and an ocean-facing deck for a relaxing BBQ dinner and watching the sunset. Bamboo flooring, a sweet gas stove, and comfy furnishings assure lovely, relaxing evenings. An adorable, fully equipped kitchen gives you the option to eat in at the dining nook with lots of windows for ocean light. Climb the fire ladder to a loft tucked under the eaves, where seating, a TV/DVD, a small library and an ocean view complete the enchanted, private space. Downstairs, two queen bedrooms with large windows keep you connected to the outdoors. Two full bathrooms, one on each main level, including an upper-level bath with a clawfoot tub and a porthole window, means you can easily share this home with another couple.
You’ll find yourself in easy reach to some of the most scenic driving on the Oregon Coast, with destinations like Cape Perpetua, Sea Lion Caves, Heceta Head Lighthouse, the Newport Bayfront and the Oregon Coast Aquarium minutes away.
