The Space:

Welcome to The Yogi, a modern log-sided cabin nestled in the Adirondack mountains. The first floor features a new modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher, a microwave oven and a coffeemaker. The dining room features seating for six. The living room is decorated in Adirondack style and includes a 50" flat-screen television with DIRECTV, Netflix and a DVD player. There is a full bathroom downstairs. The downstairs bedroom has a full-sized bed and a closet. There is a washer and dryer in the hall across from the bathroom. Out back, through the sliding door, is a large screened-in porch. Out front is a full porch and a ramp for handicap accessibility.
The second floor has a bedroom with a queen-sized bed and a walk-in closet. A second upstairs bedroom has twin bunks with a trundle bed and a 32" flat-screen television with DIRECTV and a DVD player. The second floor also has full bathroom with a shower.
In the spring, summer, and fall, enjoy canoeing, kayaking and fishing using our canoe and kayaks. Paddle up the Sacandaga River or over to Lake Algonquin directly from our property . Our boats are available based on spring and fall weather. Boats are always available from May 15th to October 1st. Our grill is charcoal, just bring your charcoal and lighter fluid and enjoy outdoor cooking! - or just sit back and enjoy the wilderness that is the North Country. Behind the cabin is a large flat area for activities and a fire pit for s'mores and relaxing in the evenings. On a clear night, the stars are amazing!
It's a short walk or drive to the town beach, where you can swim or soak up the sun. Or, explore the many hiking trails in the area, leading up mountains, to waterfalls, or into the solitude of the forest.
In the fall, the leaves are spectacular! There are many beautiful scenic byways you can drive right from our doorstep.
In the winter, enjoy skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, tubing, ice skating and snowmobiling. Hamilton County has some of the best Snowmobiling in NY. Our cabin is directly on the NYS trail system with access to hundreds of miles of groomed, marked snowmobile trails. We also have plenty of parking for your snowmobile trailer.
Next door to the Yogi is our other cabin The Dakota. They are separated for privacy however are also very popular for families to rent both together for larger gatherings. Reach out to us for more info, or a link to the listing.
Guest Access:

Guests will have access to a private paved driveway and a gravel two-car parking area directly next to the cabin. There's also a larger 60' x 100' paved parking area suitable for trailers or RVs. Please contact the owner if you plan to bring a trailer.

Our cabin offers a peaceful retreat in the heart of Wells, New York. Nestled just off NYS Route 30, it's easily accessible while providing a sense of seclusion, set back 350 feet from the road. While the immediate surroundings offer tranquility, you're also well-positioned to explore the Adirondack region. Nearby, you'll find opportunities for outdoor adventures, from hiking and fishing to simply enjoying the natural beauty of the area. The cabin is located 3 hours and 45 minutes from New York City, 4 hours from Boston, 3 hours from Montreal and 90 minutes from Albany.
