Book your getaway to relax and enjoy what Dake Lake has to offer. In our "home away from home" we provide many amenities--towels, quality linens, blankets, pillows, utensils, dishes, pots and pans, USB chargers, Smart TVs, WIFI, blu-ray player, assorted DVDs, board games, puzzles. A high chair, mini-crib and pack 'n play are available upon request.
This home was originally built with a traditional 1st floor primary bedroom in mind. However, we made an adjustment turning it into a game room. The game room has a full size poker table, record player, karaoke machine, Pac-Man and much more. We have also stocked the closet with board games and puzzles.
We have a total of 5-bedrooms: 3-bedrooms (all with queen size beds) located on the 2nd floor. There is a spacious bonus sleeping area off of the 2nd bedroom. This bonus room has 2-twin beds, a twin bed with trundle. This configuration makes for a nice family suite.
The family room has an AMAZING view of Dake Lake. Beautiful cherrywood bookcases flank the gas log fireplace. With a simple touch of the remote, the fireplace will turn on offering a warm ambience. 65" flat screen Smart TV with room darkening curtains provide a relaxing atmosphere. No cable tv or subscriptions.
The kitchen is fully stocked with the usual suspects--electric oven/glass stove top burners, top freezer/bottom refrigerator, dishwasher, garbage disposal etc. We have added a couple of fun items--an ice maker and a designated coffee/tea area--coffee pot/single serve, stove top kettle, electric kettle along with various sweeteners, non-dairy creamers, coffees and teas. Also, plenty of platters and items for your entertaining needs. The kitchen eating area can seat (6) and has picture windows with the lake view.
The separate dining room has seating for (10) with a reading nook by the window. For times when the gang wants to eat together, we also provide a foldable banquet table with (8) folding chairs in the garage.
In the lower level, there are 2-bedrooms; one with a queen size bed, the other with 2-sets of bunk beds (sleeps 4 people under 100 lbs). Also in the lower level is a designated private office/study room with a desk and a sofa sleeper (sleeps 2). Full bathroom with a walk-in shower is accessible to our lower level guests. ANOTHER full laundry room with commercial washer and dryer is available.
The game rooms (1st floor and lower level) are bound to keep all ages entertained with a pool table, ping pong table overlay, board games and wet bar. The wet bar in the lower level is stocked with various glassware for beer, Moscow mules, wine and mixed drinks. A coffee maker is also available for your added convenience.
Long list of items available for you to enjoy--gas BBQ grill with extra propane tank, fire pit, kayaks, canoe, stand-up paddle board, corn hole and other outdoor games. We provide our guests with a limited supply of firewood.
Dake Lake is a 35-acre lake with a maximum depth of 26 feet. Fish include Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Trout and Walleye. The lakefront has a soft, shallow bottom. We recommend going to the beautiful local beach which is about a 10 minute drive from the home or a sandbar on the chain for swimming.
Take a short stroll or drive and spend the day in downtown Waupaca, visit one of the neighborhood restaurants or bars. Play 18-holes at Tom Thumb Mini Golf, a local fan favorite. Enjoy the live entertainment at Clearwater Harbor Restaurant and Bar, watch the Chain Skiers perform or book a narrated cruise touring Waupaca's Chain O’ Lakes during the summer months.
Located in Chain O' Lakes, a neighborhood in Waupaca, this vacation home is near a water park and on the waterfront. Foxfire Golf Club and Central Waters Brewing Company are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Hartman Creek State Park and Pickerel Lake State Natural Area. Take in the nearby slopes with cross-country skiing, or check out other outdoor activities such as sledding, ice skating, and snowmobiling.
