This duplex cabin is literally steps from Bayfield County's incredible snowmobile, cross-country ski, and ATV trails. Valhalla Recreation Area, which features a ski jump, incredible XC and fat tire biking trails in the winter and hiking/mountain biking in the summer, is just up the road. Few other lodging options in the area make it so easy to get out and enjoy the hundreds of miles of trails.

Your host runs Bark Point Ventures, a vacation rental management & concierge company that specializes in properties on Lake Superior's South Shore. She lives nearby and is available 24/7 to assist her guests. Our passion is ensuring guests experience the magic of what we feel is one of the most amazing places in the world.

The South Shore
The south shore is truly a place to get away from it all, but not so far from modern conveniences that getting food and gas feel like a chore. The guest book contains tips on all the incredible outdoor activities, local arts, and places to get groceries, dine out, grab a drink, etc. This is truly a year-round destination, whether you enjoy outdoor activities, local cuisine, art, or simply the company of friends & family in one of the most beautiful locations in the northern U.S.

The property is a perfect mid point between the most popular sights & towns in the area. It's less than 10 minutes from Washburn (which has a full-service grocery, nice range of restaurants, local shops, marina and beaches). It's about 20 minutes from Ashland, 20 minutes from Bayfield, 15 minutes from Cornucopia.

And if you happen to work up a thirst or appetite, the wonderful Pub & Grub bar/restaurant is a short walk (or ATV/snowmobile ride) from the cabin.

The cabin features an open plan living/dining/kitchen area with a comfy couch & chair, dining table with seating for four, fully-outfitted kitchen, and high-speed wifi that makes streaming your favorite content on the Smart TV or your preferred device a breeze. The primary bedroom has a queen bed and second bedroom has two twin beds (all bedding & mattresses are also brand new!). The full bath has a walk-in shower. The cabin's set up is perfect for families as well as small groups of friends.

Due to the lack of public transportation and the distance between towns/amenities, a car is pretty much essential. But, on the plus side, traffic is not a concept we have up here!

This home is in the north woods: seasonal bugs/pests can be expected.
This home is dog friendly: While we make a considerable effort to clean up pet hair between guests, there may still be a few stray hairs in the home.

Located in Washburn, this cabin is in a rural area. Chequamegon Bay Golf Course and Mount Ashwabay Ski and Recreation Area are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those looking for area attractions can visit Ashland Mural Walk and Soo Line Locomotive 950.
