This retreat offers more than just a place to stay — it’s a place to unwind, connect, and play. Start with the spacious front yard, perfect for games, gardens, or simply soaking up the sunshine. Head down to the riverfront for a classic cookout with a gas grill and picnic table, then wind down by the firepit as the sun sets over the water.
The charm continues with a covered front porch ideal for morning coffee, and a back deck that leads to even more outdoor fun — including a great woodstove for a lovely winter ambiance, a second firepit, another gas grill, and plenty of seating for gathering under the stars. Enjoy meals at the backyard picnic table, relax in the screened-in deck with a good book, or take a peaceful nap in the riverside hammock.

Nestled only 2.5 miles from the heart of Chestertown, this home away from home offers easy access to local shops, restaurants, and small-town charm. Looking for more excitement? Located less than a mile from snowmobile trails, you’re just 11 miles from Bolton Landing, 18 miles (30 minutes) from Gore Mountain Ski Resort, 20 miles from the Lake George Village, and 29 miles from Glens Falls. Lake Placid and Whiteface are also located nearby.

No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.
Vacasa is a registered New York State sales tax vendor. And if Vacasa is the merchant of record will collect sales tax and applicable unit fees on all sales of short-term rental unit occupancy within New York State that it facilitates.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. No more dogs are allowed.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles.

Dock details: The dock has a sliding board.
The dock is approximately 5 ft wide and 10 ft long.
Since it is a river most people use canoes and kayaks.
The depth changes for 6 to 7 ft to about 3 to 5 ft depending on the rainfall.
The folks can swim at their own risk.
We have a picnic table, grill and a fire pit at the river. Also there is a large screened in tent on a wooden built pad.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
