***IMPORTANT: Our house is on the side of Willow Mountain at 3,500 ft! What does this mean for you?***
WINTER CAUTION: If you are staying with us in the winter months, please ensure your vehicle is equipped properly for mountain driving in the snow. This means an ALL WHEEL DRIVE or FOUR WHEEL DRIVE vehicle. ((FYI -If the back of your car does not say 4x4, AWD or 4WD, it likely is not four wheel drive.)) This property is accessed via a steep, narrow, gravel road, which may be icy or snowy during winter weather. Please be prepared to drive in snow and ice. This means four-wheel drive, good tires, and possibly snow chains.
SUMMER CAUTION: Please watch carefully for wildlife. We have foxes, deer and even bears! Do not leave any food or trash outside the cabin. Do not leave food in your vehicles.

IMPORTANT DETAILS:
**Our cabin has a shared driveway with two other cabins and it is steep (however, it flattens out at the top with ample parking that fits four vehicles comfortably). In winter months, 4x4 OR AWD VEHICLES ARE REQUIRED to access the cabin. In summer months, FWD is sufficient. Trust us, though — the views at the top are worth the climb! **
**Apologies, no pets allowed, except certified service animals. (We have pet allergies in our family.)
**We do have two (2) OUTDOOR-only security cameras located at the front door & driveway. These are strictly for safety & security and are not monitored unless a safety issue arises or property rules are breached.
Located in Vilas, this cabin is near theme parks and in the mountains. Appalachian Ski Mountain and Sugar Mountain Resort are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Pisgah National Forest and The Blowing Rock. Looking to enjoy an event or a game while in town? See what's going on at Holmes Convocation Center, or consider a night out at The Mill at Rock Creek. Kayaking, water tubing, and rafting offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with hiking nearby.
