The Garden Oasis is a get-away throwing you back to yesteryear: old Florida style architecture with a Key West style design flair, all while surrounded by fully landscaped, mature gardens that keep our home absolutely secluded from the rest of nearby Venice.

We have room to host ten people comfortably in three bedrooms, three baths, two living rooms, and dining for twelve. Plus, you are located near nine famous Gulf Coast beaches and Fox Lea Farms! Come enjoy all the Sunshine State has to offer.

Our 50’s built, 2000+ square foot, old Florida style home is a unique charmer located right off Venice island in the Venice Gardens subdivision. This quiet cul-de-sac property is close to everything, yet feels completely secluded from the rest of the world due to the fully landscaped and mature gardens surrounding it. Stunning wood working, one-of-a-kind custom built-ins and upgrades will leave you shaking your head in disbelief that this gem is actually yours for the duration of your stay. You’ll not find another home like this in all of Venice, that’s for sure! Completely furnished with brand-new furniture designed to maximize Guest comfort, you and your family will find everything you need to make you feel like you're coming home to your own beach house.

When you first arrive, a huge carport awaits for up to four vehicles. Smart locks mean you can check in on your own with a code, no keys needed! Both living rooms have all the seating you will need to get cozy for some down time. The rear living room even has a queen sized pull out bed with an upgraded gel mattress for extra sleeping space.

Our kitchen is outfitted with all the major and small appliances you would ever need (toaster, microwave, blender, instapot, coffee pot, etc.). As a cook myself, we’ve outfitted the cabinets with all the gadgets and cookware you would need to prepare anything you and your family might like to cook. The one thing we do not have is a Garbage Disposal. Therefore, all food MUST be disposed of in the trash can next to the sink. We have five large trash cans and a huge blue recycling can near the shed to accommodate for nightly emptying of the trash bin for this reason. Service for between 20-24 people ensures you aren’t doing dishes every meal, leaving time for enjoying your vacation rather than cleaning up after meals. We’ll even get you started with a few waters, coffee K cups, cleaning supplies, etc. so you can arrive with ease. One of the most unique features in our kitchen are our stainless steel countertops! We love them, but they are definitely work to care for. Please use ONLY the vinegar/water solution under the sink to clean any of the stainless steel surfaces as any other cleaner will permanently damage them...and always use cutting boards for any and all meal prep (located under the cooktop). Family dining at a table for twelve will be a breeze. There is even an additional table for four in the family game room that can be used to stretch out if needed. Speaking of which, we have a plethora of family games you may use, several puzzles you can attempt, and even a mini library for adults and kids with books to enjoy while relaxing by the pool.

Our pool bath includes a shower for your use, as well as, full in-house laundry facilities. Please keep the washer door propped open until it fully dries to eliminate any musty smells from forming. Thanks!! An iron and small foldable ironing board are located above the sink if needed.

The salt-water pool is large enough for everyone in your party to relax either on the screened in deck, or in cushioned seating spaced out around the water's edge. The maximum depth is 5.5 ft, so diving is not allowed. If needed, a child safety gate is available on property to ensure your little ones are safe. Please let us know in advance and we’ll have it ready for you to use at your discretion. (Side Note: Pool usage is included in the base price. Pool heating is available during the winter “season” months (Oct-Apr) for an additional $20 per day fee.) We have pool towels available for use specifically here, as well as inflatable water toys, floats, and noodles. Our other towels are of similar quality (quick dry for the Florida humidity!) and can be found on each bed upon check in, as well as extras in the linen closets right outside the bathrooms.

Each bathroom has hand soap, tissues, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, and bath gel to get you started when you arrive, new glass shower doors that swing both ways, as well as new detachable shower heads to make bathing your kids easier on your back!

Bedrooms have memory foam/spring hybrid mattress, new cooling material linens, and even foam bumpers for the Guests sleeping in the top bunks of the bunk-beds (located in the closet in this room). In total there is a king bed in the Master suite, a queen bedroom, a twin over full double bunk room, and a queen pull out couch meaning you have more than enough room for everyone in your party to spread out and get a good night's sleep.

If all that weren’t enough, we also have multiple outdoor yard seating areas under our pergolas to give you some privacy if needed for a more intimate location to spend time.

In the shed you will find beach supplies (chairs, sand toys, umbrellas, beach cart, shark tooth hunting supplies, etc) as well as three bikes to use at your desire. There is a foot air pump to help ensure your tires are up to standards before you hit the streets.

A gas grill is in the carport and just needs to be moved to the driveway/carport edge before use.

All locks for the shed supplies, bike locks, and grill will use the same code to make things easier. After all, you are here on vacation!

Finally, our home is served under contract with pool maintenance people, landscapers, and pest control providers. If at any time you need assistance with any of these items (after all...it is Florida!!!) please contact me, and then the providers directly at the numbers provided. They all have our home on standby for service included in our contracts...so don’t hesitate!

Located near the beach, this vacation home is in Venice Gardens, a neighborhood in Venice. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Venice Beach and Caspersen Beach. Snook Haven Park and Nancy's Consignments are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
