A modern stone built spacious 3 bedroom villa in a quieter residential area and within easy walking distance of Kalkan town, has a large secluded terrace and private swimming pool. The mature garden areas add a nice balance of privacy and colour around the pool terrace yet the villa also has 2 roof terraces to soak in the views of Kalkan bay and the Taurus mountains. Villa Kismet has been designed to create a feeling of light and space and is furnished in an elegant, relaxed turkish influenced style to add a homely and comfortable atmosphere. The private pool and terrace area offer ample space for fun, relaxing and entertaining with its delightful shaded seating area, BBQ, alfresco dining area and a private lower garden. The open plan living area and 3 bedrooms are very airy and comfortable with plenty of space and there is a large outside balcony joining the bedrooms which overlooks the pool. There is Wi-Fi and modern air-conditioning throughout.
You do not need a car here as the villa is in a central location. but a private off-road car space is provided at the entrance to the villa.
A 15mins downhill walk will take you to the start of the old town but local shops, banks and supermarkets are within 5 mins walk of the villa as is the bus station and the popular ‘Thursday’ market where you can get weekly shop of fresh vegetables and fruit, fish, cheese etc as well as clothing, shoes and gifts. Also the villa is only a 10min walk to the trendy cafes, bars & restaurants of Kalamar Rd should you fancy a change from Kalkan town & harbour.
The roads and paths are cobbled and hilly but taxis are abundant and cheap. The local dolmus buses can be used to get to sites and larger towns outside of Kalkan.
The variety and standard of Restaurants and Cafes are amazing in Kalkan - a foodies paradise! Exclusive Beach clubs are dotted around the bay which can be accessed by the free and frequent transit boats from the harbour and are a great way to spend the day relaxing and swimming in the gorgeous turquoise waters . There is also the local shingle beach and a beach club beside the harbour in the town. Patara beach offers amazing ruins and a stunning sandy beach. The daily boat trips run from the harbour provide a great day out - well recommended. The mountain areas and villages also offer different scenery and experiences - try the trout at the nearby village restaurants of Islamlar. Day trips further afield can be organised easily from many of the travel offices in the town as can car/bike hire to explore the area at your own pace. Tourist License 07-3035.
