UPDATE  September 2025 -  lake levels are lowering daily.  Owner wants to make sure no one is bringing a boat during the draw down times, as the cove is too low for boat entry.

Lake Burton drawdown schedule 2025-2026:
September 2025         - Gradual lowering begins dropping slowly from the normal summer elevation (1865.0 elevation)
November 1, 2025      - The lake level will be reduced to a lower elevation than the typical annual drawdown to allow for ongoing modernization work at the Burton and Seed Lake dams. (1862.5 elevation and lower)
March 21, 2026           - Lake starts up gradually from 2.5+ feet down (1862.5 elevation or lower)
May 1, 2026                - The lake is scheduled to return to its normal summer pool elevation of 1865 feetl (1865.0 elevation)

Private Boat Instructions and Docking Information: 
If you are bringing a private boat to utilize on Lake Burton, you will need to use the provided public boat ramps. Boaters will have winter public boat access to the lake at a ramp at Murray Cove, and another ramp is located at Moccasin Creek State Park. Georgia Power provides a boat ramp and parking just north of Lake Burton on the Tallulah River for paddlers.

Docking Information: 
• Single boat house slip available.
• Guests will have access to the small blue canoe outside of the boat house but the boathouse is private.
• Life Jackets are not included, please use the boat at your own risk. 

Things to Know:
• 25+ age requirement for lead guest. No exceptions.
• This property is not pet-friendly. No exceptions.
• Digital rental agreement will be required to sign and complete after property is booked.
• Firewood not supplied. Firewood not allowed in the gas fireplace.
• This property is located on a graded, gravel driveway. Most vehicles will be fine, especially FWD vehicles. Vehicles with extra low suspensions may have an issue.
• Georgia fishing license required for fishing on the property. Licenses can be purchased online for as low as $5/day.
