Come enjoy Acadia National Park, pick wild blueberries, blackberries, swim and kayak right on 'Maine Stay's' property!
Our season kicks off May 30 and runs though October 31.
'Maine Stay Cottage' is located on a 9 mile slender peninsula on 'Newbury Neck' in the beautiful Blue Hill and Acadia region.
Maine Stay offers you a private sandy beach on the rear of the property which is accessed by a lovely wooded trail as well as a sandy beach to launch your kayak (rentals available) in front too.
The front of the property has stunning views of Acadia National Park and water access for walking, kayaking or swimming, not to mention blueberry picking! The night skies are amazing especially in the cooler fall weather.
Maine Stay is bordered by Union River Bay to the East, and Morgan and Blue Hill Bay to the West.
With more than 70 acres, 'Maine Stay' is one of the few properties that run the full width of the peninsula, with private oceanfront access on each shoreline!
Pack your lunch and enjoy long walks through the forested path to the backside of the property where you will end up on Morgan/Blue Hill Bay overlooking Blue Hill Mountain and Jed Island, a favorite place for seals. Pick wild blackberries along the way for a sweet treat after swimming and beach combing on your own private beach!
'Maine Stay' is a 5 bedroom, 3 full bath Farmhouse Cottage that is the perfect place to call home while you discover the Blue Hill Peninsula and the magnificent Acadia National Park.
Enjoy the sweeping views of Union River Bay in the front of the cottage and Morgan/Blue Hill Bay from the back of the property. A most unique property with lush, open ocean views and fields of dreams to explore!
Beach-comb, swim or rent a kayak and explore the coast.
Relax on the open air screened front porch watching sailboats and lobster boats drift by and see the sun coming up over the mountains.
Maine Stay will offer you, your family and friends a place to make memories which will last a lifetime.
Because there is lots of open land, we will consider small events, weddings and family reunions. Enjoy the magnificent views while making memories for your special event.
We allow a total of 10 overnight guests. Total includes adults, children and toddlers.
An interior renovation was recently completed along with a new roof and windows. We reinvest our rental dollars into Maine Stay each winter/spring so we can offer you a lovely place to call home while visiting.
Our weeks run "Saturday to Saturday" with a 7 night minimum.
If you would like to bring your pup, they are welcomed family members. (small 'per pet' fee).
We allow up to 2 pups. Pups must be up to date on vaccinations and on flea and tick meds. We will send you our Pet Guidelines.
We do have a Pack n' Play and a highchair for your little ones.
Please note: We only offer 'full' weeks during peak summer months (Mid June - Mid September) however, we have some flexibility in early or late season for arrival and departure days.
We will send you a simple rental agreement once you have booked and will email it to you shortly after you book a reservation.

All bedrooms have new mattresses and a new convection stove/oven was installed in 2026.

Located in Surry, this vacation home is in the mountains and on the beach. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Acadia National Park and Acadia National Park's Visitors Center. Traveling with kids? Consider Rooster Brother Coffee Roasters and Blue Hill Co-op Community Market. Kayaking and motor boating offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with rock climbing and hiking nearby.
