Here, history buffs can enjoy viewing one of the oldest still-standing forts on the Eastern Seaboard. You can also head over the bridge to Mount Pleasant (about eight miles away), where you’ll find no shortage of shopping and dining, or go just two miles further to experience the rich history of downtown Charleston.
