This house was Custom Designed and is a living tribute to Architect and father, Richard Burke Schnedl, a well known NC architect from 1950's to 1990's. This Mountain House is located on 6 acres, with a cave and boulders. It has a beautiful view of Mount Mitchell and its eastern valley. We have radiant floor heat and a whole house generator. The Kitchen is set up for gourmet chefs, and has an incredible view as well. Plenty of Tv's, DVD's and internet fast enough to stream your Netflix or Prime videos. Cell reception is ok, but not exceptional. Centrally located to Asheville, Boone, Grandfather Mtn and Linville Gorge. The Blue Ridge parkway is 3 miles away. And there are dozens of hiking trails within 40 minutes of our house.
Located in Spruce Pine, this vacation home is in the mountains. Parkway Flea & Farmers Market and Bakersville Main Street Market are worth checking out if shopping is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Pisgah National Forest and Summit Trail. Emerald Village and Woodys Chair Shop are also worth visiting. Kayaking, rafting, and fishing offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with hiking/biking trails nearby.
