The river, which begins in Weeki Wachee at its famed mermaid springs runs a dozen miles before emptying out into the Gulf. The river is one of the Tampa/St. Petersburg area's best attractions, and one of the more unforgettable “Old Florida” experiences around. Kayak along the pristine waterways and get up close and personal with gentle manatees. Enjoy the peaceful area and friendly people. No matter where you come from in the world, you will find that your time spent on the River is a small slice of paradise. We provide a double kayak and 6 single kayaks to enhance your vacation!
From the sundeck you can fish and see blue heron, egrets, or even manatees. There are restaurants, kayak and boat rentals and a local beach all within walking distance. Numerous golf courses are nearby. The Liquid Pleasure River Retreat is a great place to relax and forget about life for a while.
