The Rio River Haven is a "Mountain Masterpiece" located on the banks of the Mighty Rio Grande River. This home provides stunning river & mountain vistas. The decor and setting evoke the Western Culture & Vintage Days of years past. This is a place designed with a vision of creating memories with your family and friends on vacations that will transcend a lifetime. The decor provides a setting that will leave indelible impressions on your mind as laughs and stories are shared in the home over dinner or on the deck watching the sunset over the mountains. You can enjoy the trout sipping flies on lazy summer mornings and evenings while watching & listening to the peaceful river flow by. There is a menagerie of birds and lots of wildlife that can be seen from the property like deer grazing in the meadow across the river.

The open floor plan make this an ideal set up for vacations where you can gather with friends and family. Each Bedroom has it's own private bathroom that creates private spaces as well. There is a 5th bathroom off the loft as well if multiple people need the restroom at once or an extra shower. There are 2 Master Bedrooms on the main level with sliding glass doors to the covered deck overlooking the river. These bedrooms feature King Size Beds & TV's. Bedrooms 3 & 4 are upstairs off the loft area with tv's in each bedroom as well. There is a shuffle board table and TV in the loft along with a private sitting area. The kitchen & living room are open spaces for social interaction. You can watch the snow fly over the river and enjoy the comfort of a warm fire in the fireplace. The kitchen and dining area are set up with a dining table and a bar area as well. During nice weather you can sit on the deck and also eat at the outdoor table area. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, plates, utensils etc. All your need to bring is your suitcase and food for a stay that will transcend your lifetime.

This home is a perfect basecamp located near the center of the action available in South Fork, CO.

During the summer months one can play a round of Golf just minutes away at the Legendary Rio Grande Club, book a guided fly fishing trip on the Rio Grande, raft trip, rent ATV's, jeep, ride horses, or just explore the National Forest minutes from the property. You are about 20 minutes from the Historic Town of Creede and can visit the walkable downtown area for lunch, dinner, shops, or an evening watching a Theatre performance presented by the Creede Repertory Theatre. The is a plethora of outdoor adventure and cultural opportunities at your finger tips from this property.

Please note that you are only allowed to fish on this property and the site just West to the edge of the water pump house next door. This area is all "Catch & Release" with flies and lures only. You need a fishing license to fish in this area and these can be purchased at Rainbow Grocery, which is located about 3 minutes away.

Wolf Creek Ski Area boasts of the "Most Snow in Colorado" and is approximately 20 minutes away. There are hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails during the winter and lots of places to snowshoe, cross country ski, and ice fish.

The property has lots of parking to the West side for Trucks with ATV Trailers & Snowmobile trailers as well.

This property is a rare find because you can ride your ATV's Directly from the property and use the Town of South Fork's Trail System to access hundreds of miles of Forest Service Roads & Trails. One needs to purchase the appropriate permits through the South Fork Vacation Center. The Forest Service Permit can be purchased at Rainbow Grocery.

Renters do not have access to the Owner Room upstairs over the Garage.

Located in South Fork, this vacation home is on a river. Wolf Creek Ski Area and Rio Grande Club are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Coller State Wildlife Area and Rio Grande. Wolf Creek Anglers and Rio Grande County Museum and Cultural Center are also worth visiting.
