Our house is set in the small and quiet hamlet of Planina na Pohorju with good access from Ljubljana and Slovenia's second city Maribor. We are positioned on a hillside with stunning views looking into the valley with towns of Zrece and Slovenska Konjice below. Our house has been substantially modernised in recent years with a large open plan kitchen and dining area and breakfast balcony overlooking the valley this room has a traditional wood burning fireplace and a cosy separate lounge, tv area. We have a modern luxury bathroom on the ground floor with a walk in power shower. Upstairs there are 3 attractive chalet style bedrooms one with a balcony another with magnificent views of the valley below the bedrooms are spacious , twin bedded and can comfortably sleep 6 people. We have a terrace to the side of our house for outside dining which is equipped with a traditional Slovenia barbeque. In Summer the terrace is a great place to enjoy breakfast or lunch as it has magnificent views down into the valley. You will find that Kitchen is both modern and very well equipped.
Summer Activities: We are situated within walking distance of an extensive network of way marked trails (maps provided) for walking and cycling through pine forest mixed woodland and pastures. This vast network of trails offers stunning vistas over the valley and surrounding hills.

By arrangement through the local tourist office in Zrece it is possible to combine your walk/cycle ride with a visit to one of the many farms where you can enjoy a banquet of lovingly prepared home cooked food, local produce and snaps.

The area is totally unspoilt and rural in nature perfectly suited to peace and relaxation and sightseeing in general. The climate in Summer generally gives above average hours of sunshine and the mountain location ensures that it is never too hot.

There is a golf course close to the town of Slovenske Konjice about 20min by car. The course is set amongst vineyards and has a stream running through the centre and includes 9 holes with a total course length of 2500m and a par of

Winter Activities: Skiing, Snowboarding and cross-country skiing are very good from December until March in the immediate area. The ski resort at Rogla is not only one of the largest in Slovenia but at 1500m is also one the highest. You will find everything that you need for your skiing holiday ski rental, servicing, restaurants and a kindergarten . A fabulous leisure facility stands at the top of the lift system with Olympic class facilities for both indoor and outdoor sports a pool, thermal baths and saunas.
For adrenalin junkies there is a 1.4km toboggan run close to the Ski Centre.
There is virtually no light pollution on Planina meaning that stargazer's will be treated to a dramatic view of the night sky particularly in the Winter months.

We have a great selection of DVDs, for relaxing evenings books and video console games available for your use in the lounge area. The stereo has an ipod/mp3 connection so you can enjoy your music whilst preparing a meal of just relaxing.

Located in Zrece, this vacation home is in a rural area and in the mountains. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Šmartinsko Lake and Dobrna Park, while Narrow Gauge Railway Museum and Celje Regional Museum are cultural highlights. Children’s Art Gallery and Centre for Contemporary Arts are also worth visiting. Take in the nearby slopes with skiing, or check out other outdoor activities such as sledding.
