Enjoy the magnificent Blue Ridge Mountains in this beautiful designer log cabin. Nestled on 2.5 acres, at 3,500 feet in elevation, Sweetbay Cabin is your perfect vacation get-away. The cabin sits near the bases of Chimney Top Mountain and Rock Mountain and is surrounded by woods full of rhododendron and mountain laurel with the perfect combination of privacy and serenity, yet is located within Sapphire Valley and just 3 miles (5 minutes) from downtown Cashiers, 1 mile to Lonesome Valley, and 2 miles to Camp Merrie-Woode.
You will delight in the decor of Sweetbay Cabin with its farmhouse inspired interior. The main living area is anchored by a stacked-stone wood burning fireplace that soars 20 feet to the ceiling. The fully furnished kitchen has stainless steel appliances and granite counter-tops with a large island. Sweetbay Cabin is decorated to be a relaxing stress free escape and we are sure you will love it. The three bedroom, two bath cabin has two king-size bedrooms and a third bedroom with two twin-size beds. The primary bedroom is on the main level and the two guest bedrooms are on the lower level. The primary bedroom has a large spa-inspired walk-in shower and a walk-in closet with custom shelving. The two lower-level bedrooms share a bathroom with a shower/tub combo, The lower level also has a bonus room with a day bed and can be used as an additional small den area. The main living area has a 50-inch 4K smart television and a Sonos surround sound system. The primary bedroom and the lower level bonus room are also equipped with flat-screen LED televisions. All TV's have independent Direct TV satellite programming and can stream any of your personal services such as Netflix, Prime, Hulu, etc. There are Sonos speakers throughout the cabin and music can be played via streaming services such as Spotify and Pandora through a designated Ipad and the Sonos app. All bedrooms have hybrid memory foam or pillow-top mattresses, down comforters, and comfortable linens. These beds are heavenly to sleep on at night and perfect for those mid-day naps!!
The back porch of the cabin overlooks the woods and there is a small stream that runs along the back of the property. This porch is furnished with vintage rocking chairs and a porch swing to enjoy that morning coffee, or drink in the afternoon, while relaxing in the cool mountain air. There is also a flagstone patio on the lower level of the cabin with Adirondack chairs.
Outside, there is a fire pit with Adirondack chairs and a large eight-foot outdoor dining table. This setup is perfect to enjoy an evening beside the fire roasting marshmallows, telling stories, or just simply relaxing.
Sweetbay Cabin guests have access to resort amenities at Sapphire Valley including a fitness center, multiple indoor and outdoor swimming pools (in season), saunas, hot tubs, pickle ball and tennis courts, 9 hole golf course, ski slopes, soccer fields, basketball courts, running/walking track, children's playground, arcade game room, pool tables, putt-putt golf, and numerous other activities including swimming, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, and beach access at Fairfield Lake (in season).
The location of Sweetbay Cabin is ideal as you can easily access anywhere in the the Cashiers/Highlands area. There are multiple opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts in the area, including hiking, waterfalls, boating at Lake Glenville, parks, bicycling, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, skiing (water and snow), and horseback riding just to name a few.

Located in Cashiers, this cabin is in the mountains. Highlands Art Gallery and The Bascom Center for the Visual Arts are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Sapphire Valley Ski Resort and Sapphire National Golf Club. Traveling with kids? Consider Cashiers Farmers Market and Highlands Biological Station. Take in the nearby slopes with snowboarding and skiing, or check out other outdoor activities such as sledding.
