SWRTA provides SmartRide services to Columbia from Camden and Sumter. SWRTA provides demand response (paratransity service), which operates in the urban and rural areas of the county. Paratransit service offers county residents accessible transportation options to ride any of these county routes based upon space availability as cash clients.

For protection, consider travel insurance, especially in high-risk months like hurricane season. Airbnb's insurance or other options are recommended.

INSECTS

As Santee is situated in a warm, coastal climate, it is possible to see insects inside or outside of the home at times. These include palmetto bugs, sand gnats, mosquitoes, ants, etc. Those who reside in the Lowcountry just accept this as part of living here but it may be unsettling for those from other areas. The home is treated regularly for pest control, but this will not entirely eliminate insects from getting inside at times. Please do your best to not keep doors and windows open and not leave food or drinks out in the home as this will attract insects. FINDING AN INSECT IS NOT CAUSE FOR A REFUND.
