If you’re searching for a home away from home in Santa Fe that is within walking distance of the Plaza AND enjoys fabulous views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Casa Tórtola (Turtle Dove) is the place for you. AND, we are dog-friendly!
Located just behind Fort Marcy Park and Community Complex, Casa Tórtola is a three-bedroom, two-bath home with wonderful views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains from almost every living area. It is a light-filled home, tastefully decorated with high-end furniture and decor incorporating some traditional Santa Fe touches such as the wood-burning Kiva fireplace in the spacious living/dining open space.
The living room has plenty of space for lounging or entertaining guests. Behind it, the dining table comfortably seats six, and directly adjacent is a dedicated TV room with a 60” screen.
If you’re looking forward to an outdoor retreat, there is a large patio off the living room with entertaining space comprised of lounge seating (including a fire pit and BBQ) as well as outdoor dining, and of course majestic views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
The kitchen has updated appliances including a gas stove and all kitchen amenities one might need to whip up a treat. Along side the kitchen, a cozy dinette looks out onto the back patio.
Up a partial staircase you’ll find the king master suite complete with its own kiva fireplace (non-working), desk area, and mountain views.
At the other end of the home, also up a few stairs, are the two guest rooms, which share a bath. One has a queen bed, while the other is a twin bedroom with a private walkout deck providing mountain views and views of the City.
An added bonus of Casa Tórtola is that it is just up the hill from the Fort Marcy Park Complex, an excellent place to walk a dog, or take advantage of the exercise complex, Olympic size pool, and classes such as Yoga and Pilates. There are also Pickleball courts.
Amenities include a double garage, washer and dryer, all linens, DirecTV, WIFI, and central air conditioning.

Located in Santa Fe, this vacation home is in the city center. Meow Wolf and Santa Fe Opera are cultural highlights, and travelers looking to shop may want to visit Canyon Road. Lensic Performing Arts Center and SITE Santa Fe are also worth visiting. Take in the nearby slopes with cross-country skiing and snowboarding, or check out other outdoor activities such as sledding and ice skating.
