This delightful adobe home, designed by Betty Stewart, is surrounded by mature trees, arroyo trails for hiking, and great Sandia and Ortiz Mountains views. The secluded house and studio are set on 4+ acres. Enter through the lush courtyard with stone walls and water sculptures. Inside the home, a hallway leads through a series of broad, graceful arches. French doors and divided windows in deep walled arches invite the sun to enter as red tile floors reflect the light. The great room with tall ceiling features open shelving, a long banco, and a fireplace with a wooden mantle, making a cozy sitting area in this grand room. A unique and elegant chandelier rests over the dining area, and the living and dining areas open onto the portal. The kitchen, adjacent to the dining area, is large enough for everything the chef will need and small enough to have it all at their fingertips with a nice blend of open and closed cabinetry. The main suite has plenty of closet space and room for a sitting area. A 2nd ensuite bedroom has a fireplace and opens onto the entry portal - perfect as an office or for guests. The attached 2-car garage with an exterior entry has good storage and an enclosed washer and dryer. Finally, a 300+ sq. ft. detached studio with large windows along one wall and an entry portal sits apart from the home. Near Ten Thousand Waves, Bishop's Lodge, and several trailheads, this gem is also minutes to The Plaza.
