Spacious two story, two bedroom, two bath, rustic mountain home with cozy cabin-like feel. There are two bedrooms upstairs (master- king size bed, spare- two twin beds) Sleeps 4 total. There are two living areas, a large redwood deck, a screened in porch, an upstairs balcony with beautiful views. This house is perfect for those who want to escape the city and enjoy privacy and quiet. The home is located 30-minutes from Albuquerque, one-hour from Santa Fe, 20-minutes from the Sandia Peak Ski Area, and mere minutes from the Cibola National Forest and Paa-Ko Ridge Golf Club. The small artist town of Madrid is about 25 minutes away with of shops and eateries and a pub. There are also restaurants/bars 5 or so minutes away. Please note that the downstairs area is heated with wood stove and pellet stove (both wood and pellets are provided). Upstairs has electric heat.
Sandia Knolls, a neighborhood in Sandia Park, is home to this vacation home. The area's natural beauty can be seen at San Antonito Open Space and Cibola National Forest, while The Old Schoolhouse Gallery and Gallery of the Sandias are cultural highlights. Makarios Ranch and Hinkle Family Fun Center are also worth visiting. Enjoy the area's slopes with cross-country skiing and snowboarding, and don't miss out on the snowmobiling and sledding.
