Unit 'A' - the downstairs of this quaint, newly updated and decorated home - contains 1,450 square feet with large bedrooms (both with king beds), a separate living room and dining room that seats six, and a full size kitchen, washer and dryer. There is ample space to spread out and relax - a perfect setting for longer stays, a working vacation or larger groups. The living room and dining room have all new furniture, and most of the rooms showcase paintings from local renowned artist Elizabeth Gray. Both king beds have new bedding. The separate sunroom has a trundle daybed with two twin mattresses that allows a total occupancy of six - perfect for multiple couples and families. Based on availability, jointly booking the upstairs Unit 'B' (VRBO #2883827) and the detached cottage Unit 'C' (VRBO #2863858) can accommodate a total occupancy of twelve people.
Enjoy ocean breezes from the covered front porch while you gaze across the large wooded lot to views of the marsh and North River, with Cumberland Island in the distance.
Bike or walk only six blocks through a quiet neighborhood to the St. Marys waterfront, where you can board the ferry to Cumberland Island, enjoy shopping and restaurants, stroll to historic sites, launch a kayak or put your boat on the water. Rent a golf cart or E-bike to venture across the entirety of the downtown area.
The property is a half-acre lot, so bring your boat and park next to where you stay!! There is a public boat ramp within 3 blocks of the house, and another one at the downtown waterfront. The St. Marys and North Rivers boast excellent year round fishing and boating and provide easy access to the Atlantic Ocean and nearby Fernandina Beach waterfront within 15 minutes.
Located in St. Marys, this vacation home is in the city center and on a river. St. Marys Railroad Museum and Fort Clinch State Park are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Cumberland Island National Seashore and Crooked River State Park. Howard Peeple's Park and Fernandina Beach Main Beach Park are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
