Something to know about Port Clinton from late June thru the first of August we have 2 bugs called a Midge and a Mayfly they come off of the lake at night in what is called a hatch they are attracted to light, but it helps keeping out door lights off when not needed.
They do not bite, and they die within 24 hours they will fly into the home when you open doors or windows. We do our best to clean up the outside during these hatches so bear with us the whole community has the same issue.

Located in Port Clinton, Clean get away fishing, birding, close to beach, restaurants, dock, boat ramp is on a river. The Keeper’s House and South Bass Island Lighthouse are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include Island Adventures Family Fun Center and The Watering Hole Safari and Waterpark. Sportsmen's Migratory Bird Center and Perry's Cave are also worth visiting.
