Captain's Quarters - located in South Ponte Beach FL is right below Jacksonville, FL. and a short drive to historic St Augustine Florida, the oldest city in the USA.
This charming, quintessential A-frame beach house allows you to get the best of both words, the beach AND a pool! 
This 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom, 3 story home is perfect for a small group of friends or family who want to get away from it all, and make lifelong memories. Featuring floor to ceiling windows with breathtaking sunrise views. 
The first thing you notice pulling up to Captain`s Quarters, other than the iconic A-frame structure, is none other than the beautiful in-ground pool! Don`t feel like dealing with aquatic life or the fuss of sand, but still want to splash around? That`s no problem at Captain`s Quarters!
Walking through the front door, the first thing you see is all the natural light that luminates the open floor plan, kitchen, living room, and dining room, all surrounded by ocean views!
The kitchen features updated stainless steel appliances and a cozy breakfast nook. The dining room table seats six and is spacious enough for evening meals with the whole group or organizing a game night! And if you`re tired from a long day of swimming in the pool or the ocean, the living room is a perfect place to sit back and listen to the waves, or sip on a coffee or cocktail.
The main floor bedroom can be found to the right as you come through the front door. Sprawl out on the king size bed and dream of adventures at sea! Across from this bedroom is the downstairs bathroom, featuring a unique shower stall, complete with two benches, for ultimate relaxation! 
Going up the spiral staircase takes you to the loft, the second bedroom. The balcony sitting area is a perfect hang out space for kids or teens who might want their own space. This bedroom has a bunk-bed containing both a full sized and twin sized mattress. Across the loft is a half bath, so there`s no need to climb stairs in the middle of the night! Also in the loft bathroom is the washer and dryer.
Continuing up the spiral staircase takes you to the final bedroom, a one of a kind en-suite master bedroom and bathroom! Enjoy the natural light and ocean views, either from the huge windows or from the privacy of your very own balcony! Soak your worries away in the jumbo sized jet tub or keep it simple with the walk-in shower.
The back deck has plenty of sunlight, perfect for maintaining your tan or catching up on your reading! The picnic tables, both at the pool and the deck, are perfect for serving up lunches before getting back in the water.

**The house comes with a regular coffee maker and a Keurig, beach towels, beach chairs, beach toys, beach umbrella, and a baby gate.
Disclosure 1: Uneven Flooring
When you walk into the home, you will notice that the floors in Captain’s Quarters slope towards the beach and lean in the living room and dining room and won’t be totally even. The home is structurally sound signed off by St. Johns County. Also, you will notice gaps in the paneling on the walls. We are aware of the gapping as it is also not of concern.
Disclosure 2: Deck

Please be aware that the deck at Captain`s Quarters is made of wood and exposed to the elements daily. Therefore, we recommend wearing shoes on the deck to avoid getting splinters. 
Disclosure 3: Pool Liability
Pools are considered dangerous and should be treated accordingly. Guests will use the pool and pool toys at their own risk. Never leave children and/or weak swimmers unsupervised. Gates must be closed and locked when not in active use. ECBR (East Coast Beach Rental) and the owner of Captains Quarters are not liable for misuse of the pool and pool toys. Diaper wearing guests MUST use swim-proof diapers. No glassware or glass bottles are permitted in the pool or the patio surrounding the pool. Absolutely NO diving is allowed. As always, no running when near the pool or on slippery surfaces.  Guests indemnify and hold harmless the owner of Captain`s Quarters and East Coast Sales & Management, LLC
Indemnified:

Guests will hold the owner of Gone Coastal and East Coast Sales & Management, LLC (Florida Coast Beach Rental) harmless and indemnified.
Disclosure 4: Pet Fee

Pet Fees: Some of our homes are considered “Pet Friendly” homes. The pet fee is $150 with a normal maximum of 2 pets.  However, depending on the specific pet and your circumstance, up to 3 pets may be approved.
The Pet Fee is a onetime FEE (NOT A DEPOSIT) per pet(s) IF your pet(s) is / are accepted (see below)

The approval or non-approval will be based on the breed, size, age and training of the pet.
IMPORTANT: The owners’ insurance companies PROHIBIT the following BREEDS: Akitas, Alaskan Malamutes. Presa Canarios, Chow chows, Doberman Pinschers, German Shepherds, Pit Bull Terriers, Rottweiler and Siberian Huskies.
Pre-Approved Dogs

Up to 2 Pet(s) that meet the following criteria shall be considered, "Pre-Approved":
Breed - Your dog is NOT one of the following breeds or a MIXTURE of the following breeds: Akitas, Alaskan Malamutes. Presa Canarios, Chow chows, Doberman Pinschers, German Shepherds, Pit Bull Terriers, Rottweiler, Siberian Huskies

Weight: Under 30 Pounds

Age: Over 1 year old

Trained: Must be housebroken and does NOT chew (including but not limited to) furniture and carpets.

History: You have NO knowledge of your dog(s) biting or attacking people or other pets.

If your pet(s) is / are Pre-Approved you still must pay the pet fee(s) AND must be noted in the Rental Agreement
Pets That Require Approval

 

IF your dog(s) does NOT meet the pre-approved criteria and is NOT a prohibited breed, then the owner will decide to either approve or deny your pet. When booking over the telephone, discuss your pet(s) with the reservationist; often you will have an answer regarding pet approval within minutes.
Guest Access:

This is a single family oceanfront home! The guests have the entire home, front and back yards, deck, pool, and beach access. It's your own private space on the beach!
The Neighborhood:

This house is situated on a 17 mile stretch of A1A (South Ponte Vedra Blvd) along the ocean coast. It is just below Jacksonville, FL where you can explore Jax Beach and other spots in Jacksonville. 15 minutes south of Ponte Vedra you'll find the heart of St Augustine, the oldest city in the US and major tourist attraction with plenty of historical sites, restaurants, bars, and activities.

At the same time you are about 5 minutes from 3 great restaurants and a few minutes from the center of Ponte Vedra (an upscale area) with top golf courses (TPC at Sawgrass) and fine dining options such as Ruth`s Chris, Caps on the Water, Aunt Kates, The Reef and other fine eateries.
Getting Around:

We highly recommend having a vehicle available. Public transportation is not really an option.
