The estate is located on a quiet mountain away from busy highways and has beautiful landscaping, private pond, fire pit, hot tub, incredible views and is an ideal place for those looking for serene vacation in summer, autumn, spring or winter.
Great living and entertaining spaces are filled with natural light through windows and skylights. Enjoy gorgeous mountain views while having breakfast and coffee in the gourmet kitchen stocked with the chef's tableware. Read a book or engage in a conversation with friends and family in the sun room. Enjoy lunch with a glass of wine while taking in the views and sounds of nature on the deck or in the screened-in porch. Relax by a stone fireplace in the living room with a cathedral ceiling after a day of kayaking at Emerald lake, biking in Green Forest or hiking at Bromley, fishing at Gale Meadows pond or horse back riding, golfing or playing tennis or spending the day at the lake swimming and sun bathing. Art and food lovers will enjoy a day visiting a local farmers market, shopping in amazing Manchester outlets, eating out at a world-class restaurant, attending a concert at summer chamber music festival or catching a show at the summer theater festival. Animal lovers will love visiting a local farm and The Vermont Summer horse festival. Skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing or snowmobiling in winter is an easy option considering how close property is located to mountains: Stratton (20 min.), Bromley (8 min.), Magic Mountain (15 min), Okemo (34 min). After a day filled with so many experiences, guests can have fun in the game room which offers a pool table, ping-pong table, shuffleboard, a smart TV and a bar with a built in chess and checkers board.
The deck has a grill and offers incredible views of the estate's pond, as well as overlooking the hills and valleys below. Hot tub is located outside and has beautiful view of the back yard. A new generator is also on premises and powers all essential utilities and appliances in the event the storm knocks out electricity.
The property offers very fast Starlink WIFI connection, smart TVs, Direct TV and Netflix subscriptions. Smart systems include 6 Nest Thermostats and ADT security.
Eight bedrooms for up to 23 people are furnished beautifully for your comfort. You have a choice of 2 bedrooms with a king size bed, 3 bedrooms with a queen size bed (one has an additional wooden crib), 2 bedrooms with 2 twin beds, 1 bedroom with 3 bunk style beds. Master bedroom has a king size bed, whirlpool tub & shower and a loft with an additional single bed.
Peru is home to this vacation home. Taylor Farm and Mill Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Hildene and Weston Priory. Traveling with kids? Consider Bromley Alpine Slide, or check out an event or a game at Stratton Tennis School.
