This wonderful log sided cabin backs forest service and is steps from year round Tonto Creek. It is nestled in Kohl's Ranch, which is located within the world's largest Ponderosa Pine forest. Despite the secluded location, there are so many nearby attractions you won't be able to see them all in one trip! Go swimming, fishing, hiking, biking, fossil hunting, crystal collecting, spelunking, off-roading and horseback riding right near the cabin or simply relax on the large deck or by the fire!
*This cabin is new to VRBO but we have been Superhosts on Airbnb since 2020 and have over 65 rave reviews.
*This 1,460 square foot cabin has two bedrooms (1 bedroom has a Queen size bed and the other has a Full size bed) and a loft accessed by a spiral staircase (contains 1 Full size loft bed). It also has a Queen size Murphy bed in the front room and a Twin size bed that pulls out of the chair in the entry. The cabin has 1 full bathroom.
*Enjoy the great outdoors and crisp mountain air from the comfort of the cabin's large deck
*Tonto Creek is located steps from the cabin
*The cabin has a charming fireplace in the living room that warms the whole house, as well as a propane heater for the extra chilly nights. There is also an outdoor fire pit.
*Air conditioning is rarely needed but the cabin has a rolling unit available for the hot summer days
*The kitchen is well-equipped and includes a fridge, stove, oven, microwave, toaster oven, dishes, utensils and cutlery
*For the coffee lovers, the cabin has a Nespresso Espresso Machine and Keurig
*65" TV in the living room with Amazon Fire TV Stick and DVD player
* Washer and dryer
*Weber grill
*Smoker
*Please be aware we have limited satellite cell phone reception and satellite WiFi connectivity
*Children of all ages are allowed but the house is not child-proofed so bring them at your own risk
*Pets are allowed. The cabin has a fence but wild animals are known to get in so please beware and bring pets at your own risk. We also ask that you keep pets off the furniture and beds and clean up after them before you depart. The extra pet fee is $50 per stay for two pets. Additional pets will be considered upon request. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
*There are stairs that must be used to access the house, the loft and the bed in the loft
*Cabin is on a septic system
*The cabin is located 15 miles outside of Payson. There are restaurants and small markets nearby but due to COVID some have limited operating hours.
Located in Payson, this cabin is in the mountains and on the waterfront. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Tonto National Forest and Mongollon Rim Visitor Center, while Rim Country Museum and Young Museum are cultural highlights. Rancho Tonto Catch-A-Trout and Tonto Creek Fish Hatchery are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
