Welcome to Back in Time Retreat. We hope you enjoy your stay here as much as we do. We love this little retreat in the woods on the cliff. It was a challenge to get this little gem in this beautiful location but well worth it. We started out with the vision as we looked up at the cliff and realized that beautiful spot was unutilized. With a friend, a backhoe and determination we were able to get the road up and through the cliff. From there it was a matter of establishing the water, electricity, and hard work to get this 1968 Avion travel trailer remodeled. The experience is breath taking with view of the San Francisco Peaks and other mountain ranges with a feeling of piece and alone in the woods. It is located close to Historic route 66 with views of train going through. Keep in mind there is train noise and is a part of the experience.
The main cabin on the lower section of the property is also a rental property: Parks Chalet. They are both very secluded where you cannot see one from the other even though they are on the same property.
Located in Parks, Back in Time Retreat is in the mountains and on a river. Mother Road Brewing Company and Elephant Rocks Golf Course are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Kendrick Mountain Wilderness and Oak Hill Snow Play Area. Lowell Observatory and Grand Canyon Deer Farm are also worth visiting. Enjoy the area's slopes with cross-country skiing, and don't miss out on the sledding and snowmobiling.
