This quaint log home was built in Palmer, Alaska in 1950.
The log home sits on a large, landscaped yard (0ur backyard has recently had some excavation work completed for a new water line. We appreciate your understanding while we restore the yard during 2027. The work does not affect the beautiful views from the property! The front and side yard are still amazing!) with stunning views of Pioneer Peak and the Butte. The quiet peaceful setting along Bodenburg Creek provides a relaxing stay. If privacy is what you want, this is the place for you. The large yard is surrounded by trees, giving you the privacy you desire. The property is bordered by the creek on one side, watch for salmon headed to the spawning grounds beginning mid-August.
*You can hear the Alaska Raceway Park from the home. They run some weekdays and most weekends throughout the summer May-September.
Experience the warmth and beauty of a traditional log home. Our cozy and inviting retreat combines rustic charm with modern comforts. Cook in a fully stocked kitchen or order in and get delivery from numerous local restaurants. You will find two bedrooms, each with a queen bed and a full-size sofa sleeper in the living room. With ample sleeping arrangements for six, our property offers a haven for families and groups of friends. The large yard has plenty of space to play.
Only a short ten-minute drive to Palmer or one hour from Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. Also close to many activities and sights to include Alaska Raceway Park, Jim Creek Recreational area, Knik Glacier Tours, 49th State Motor Tours, Alaska Backcountry Adventure Tours, Reindeer Farm, Pyrah’s U-Pick, Musk Ox Farm, Palmer Museum and Visitors Center, Alaska Zipline Tours & Adventure Park, Glacier Tours on the Matanuska, Hatcher Pass, Independence Mine State Historical Park and Palmer Golf Course.
The Butte and Palmer has lots to offer for food and drink. Mad Chad’s Pizza, The Butte Burger Place, The Noisy Goose, La Fiesta Restaurant, Sunrise Grill, Turkey Red, Klondike Mike’s Saloon & Road House BBQ, Papa Murphy’s, Pizza Ria Delphi, Pizza Athena, Vagabond Blues, AK Best Phillys, Great Alaska Pizza Co., Valley Hotel, Matanuska Brewery and Tap Room, Arkose Brewery, Bleeding Heart Brewery, Palmer Alehouse, Subway, McDonalds, Wendy’s, Dairy Queen, Taco Bell. Palmer is home to this cabin. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Chugach State Park and Matanuska Glacier State Recreation Site, while Colony House Museum and Palmer Visitor Information Center are cultural highlights. Reindeer Farm and Musk Ox Farm are also worth visiting. Take in the nearby slopes with cross-country skiing and snowboarding, or check out other outdoor activities such as ice skating and sledding.
