The Lazy Raven offers a cozy and welcoming open concept retreat with private access that is well suited for a couple or anyone looking for a peaceful getaway or home base for their Alaskan adventure tucked up at the base of Lazy Mountain and Matanuska Peak.
Comfortable mid-century design, artistic bathroom, in-floor heat throughout keeps you warm and comfortable!
Cook in a fully stocked kitchen or order in and get delivery from numerous local restaurants. We give a shout out to local businesses and offer local roasted coffee, honey from hives just down the road, BBQ sauces and salts. We are open to having a few items ready (upon request) for your arrival so please let us know any dietary concerns (GF/dairy/nut free) and we will attempt to accommodate your needs.
Cozy up with a good book, enjoy free wireless Wi-Fi or use the Roku to sign into your personal streaming device.
Upon request, a child's PlayNPak, or a double air mattress to sleep an additional guest can be provided. Guests have full access to use anything in the space. A W/D on site in a dedicated laundry room. Please let host know if laundry is needed.
Available for use: snowshoes, YakTrax for winter exploring, small cooler, backpacks and bear bells.
Outdoor patio area and grill makes summer cooking simple. We offer a quiet yard/lawn area and firepit to enjoy. Large windows, amazing mountain views and a quiet serene setting provide a relaxing stay. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood within a short walk to Knik River usage recreation area, Maud/Plumley trails for hiking, biking, XCountry skiing, and lakes close by for kayaking. Wildlife sighting abound in our Alaskan mountain side retreat (moose, fox, eagles, sheep, owls). Winter guests have a very good chance of viewing the Aurora Borealis from the windows!
