The Musette - Palm Desert

Mix yourself a martini, put Frank on the stereo and watch the majestic sunset from your private, spacious courtyard and garden. Beautiful mountain views from the front garden and the large back terrace. (Both bedrooms open to the back terrace.) Blink your eyes and you are in 1963. The Musette is an elegant, fully restored mid century modern cottage, as sophisticated as the era, with some of the comforts and conveniences of the twenty first century. After sundown, light the stone fireplace to take the off the chill while you cook dinner on the original cooktop! The Musette is a 1,440 square foot dream, situated in The Fairview Cottages community in Palm Desert. This sleeper community (designed and built by renown architect Richard Dornan) is comprised of twenty cottages with a common green area and pool. Two bedrooms and two baths provide ample space and privacy for two couples. One queen bedroom with adjacent bathroom, and King master ensuite, open to the second private, spacious courtyard, where you will watch the sunrise over morning coffee. When you tire of pleasuriating, a short walk takes you to El Paseo, the "Fifth Avenue" of the Coachella Valley. El Paseo is one of the most beautiful drives in the Coachella Valley, with Palm Trees wrapped in lights. You name it, it's there. Tacos to Duck L'Orange, Banana Republic to Escada, and absolutely everything else in between. Whether you are craving your Starbucks Macchiato or need a great new bathing suit from Saks Fifth Avenue, you got it. Drive or walk, your choice. The impressive Rancho Mirage Library, McCollum Theatre and The River are a short drive away, not to mention countless spectacular hiking trails. Five minutes from The Living Desert.
