Castle Lodge is a new construction, privately sited mountain retreat on 3 wooded acres in Newry, Maine — 3 miles from Sunday River Golf Club, 2 miles from Frenchman's Hole swimming hole, and minutes from Grafton Notch State Park hiking. With a pond, custom sauna, hot tub, and space for 14 guests, it's the most complete large-group rental in the Sunday River area. We even have a newly installed EV charger on site! This dog friendly chalet is your serene mountain escape!
Guests come for the golf, the swimming holes, and the hiking. They come back because of the house and the hospitality.
**Summer in the Sunday River Area**
The Newry and Bethel area is one of western Maine's best-kept summer secrets — a full week of activity without repeating yourself.
Swim at Frenchman's Hole (cliff jumping, waterslide, waterfall pools, 2 miles away).
Paddle the Androscoggin River by kayak or tube with Bethel Outdoor Adventure (5 miles).
