Golden Meadow Cottage has a private dock with two boats available to renters at no extra charge - 14' Old Town tandem kayak, 18' Grumman canoe Take in the outdoors by lounging dockside under an umbrella canopy to dream away your cares, read a good book , or simply watch interesting wildlife happenings right before your eyes, including the Eagle's nest.

Nearby in Damariscotta Mills is the well known "Fish Ladder," where Alewives annually swim upstream to spawn. You can walk along the ladder and witness this amazing feat!
