It’s a diverse, vibrant area with many Puerto Rican, Mexican, and African American-owned businesses. This includes the eclectic restaurants that make East Harlem a foodie paradise along with neighborhood classics like Sylvia’s, Rao’s, and Patsy’s Pizzeria. There’s plenty to see and do here, like admiring the murals and street art, going for a walk at Thomas Jefferson Park, or checking out El Museo del Barrio. Its convenient location in the borough of Manhattan makes it easy to commute in and out of as well.
