Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly place. This is Not your ordinary home. Nicknamed "The Gingerbread House," this New Canaan landmark commanding Victorian looks to us just as exquisite today as it did 80 years ago when it was originally built. It has been elegantly restored and updated in the year of 2017 with the incredible historical details you simply can't find in a more modern structure, make it a storybook-charming residence.
With four bedrooms and three bathrooms, this nearly 4,000-square-foot home away home gives you plenty of space to enjoy your vacation. This unusual spacious home, includes many custom features including the dramatic exterior trim. The detailed paint job accentuates the fantastic details, such as scalloped siding, millwork, and stained-glass accents. The interior transports you to another time, with hand painted ceiling, seashell bathroom, 200-year-old antique door and staircase, hand-carved moldings, three fireplaces, and engraved door hardware, etc. Updates made to the new Brazilian teak wood floor, heated marble floor living room, new gourmet kitchen, new marble bathrooms and laundry room adapt this period-perfect landmark to fit the pace of modern-day lifestyles.
If the four bedrooms in the main floor aren't enough, a separate guest room can be arranged in the finished basement adds more space for family members.
A beautiful backyard overlooks the nature, a newly built 1,000 SQF extra large deck and open layout house plan is great for family gathering. No matter you just move in town or you want to down size, or you are remodeling your own home, this home provides spectacular living experience and the ability to appreciate nature and is minutes from shopping, dining and train station and in New Canaan top national school district.
New Canaan is home to this vacation home. Springdale Shopping Center and Stamford Town Center are worth checking out if shopping is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Old Stamford Road Bird Sanctuary and Hemingway Property. Looking to enjoy an event or a game while in town? See what's going on at Greenwich Polo Club, or consider a night out at Capitol Theatre - Garcia’s.
