4 Br Cabin Vacation Rental In Nebo, North Carolina

Flora Cabin is nestled into the woods in a secluded neighborhood right below Shortoff Mountain and at the mouth of the Linville Gorge. It is a cozy hand-hewn log cabin, the perfect place for a quiet retreat, a place to relax after a long day at the Lake, or a rendezvous for a mountainous adventure. It is located minutes from Lake James and many hiking and biking trails, a couple being the Fonta Flora Trail, and the Mountain-to-Sea trail.

Our property is situated a few hundred feet from Pisgah National Forest, Linville Gorge, in a quiet neighborhood, but only 20 minutes from downtown Morganton. The Lake James Linville Boat Access is roughly 3 minutes away, Fonta Flora Trail is located across the road and the Fonta Flora Brewery Whippoorwill farm is a short 5 minute drive. Talk about options!

You will have access to the main log cabin house as well as the cottage that is located on the property.

Take a step back in time, when entering this cabin, it's cozy and full of character. The main living room boasts of a beautiful fireplace with gas logs, with comfortable couches and chairs. There is a shared dining room and off this living/dining room is the sweetest mountain kitchen you've ever seen. It is stocked with the pots and pans, coffee maker, and utensils that you'll need to make any sort of meal. The Master is on the main floor featuring a king bed and another dramatic fireplace with gas logs and TV/DVD player. A bathroom with a shower is off the master bedroom as is the laundry room.
Upstairs there is a loft area with a Trundle bed, a Queen, a futon and TV/DVD. Off the loft is a small bedroom with a full bed. There is another Bathroom upstairs with shower and tub.
Walking outside, a generous porch outfitted with comfortable furniture, and fans will be where you want to stay all day long.

Okay, now the cottage!! The cottage is separate from our log cabin, about 50ft away. It features a bedroom with a king bed and a entertainment room The entertainment room hosts the comfy futon (double bed) with tv/DVD player (bring your dvds if you want!) games, books and is a nice space to hang.

Beside these rooms is the combined kitchenette/dining room. Outfitted with appliances needed to whip up breakfast or a snack.

The bathroom is adjacent to the kitchenette with a standing shower, towels included, plus sink and toilet.

The cottage has a cozy feel with handmade cabinets, wood trim and hand picked furnishings. A window ac unit cools the small cottage easily and bedrooms have ceiling fans.

Bring your bikes, kayaks or paddle boards! Storage under the carport is available to you.

Our neighborhood is small and quiet.

We do have WIFI but cell service is poor. Limited cell service around the cabin. You can make calls and texts easily through the WIFI.

Nebo is home to this cabin. Jamestown Flea Market and Morganton Heights are worth checking out if shopping is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Pisgah National Forest and Lake James State Park. The Outpost and Bouncin' Kids are also worth visiting.
