Built in 1914, this Pennsylvania Farmhouse is situated on a peaceful country loop at the foot of the Catskill Mountains in Sullivan County, New York. Two quick hours from NYC, it's an easy commute to and from the city but quickly hides the urban pace in its calming, quiet country air. With roughly 4000 square feet of living space, it is spacious and light... as much as it is warm and cozy. Featured in Country Living Magazine in 1996, the home was brought to modern standards yet maintains a definite authentic country charm and feel. It is situated 9 miles from the beautiful Delaware River and is a part of the Northern Delaware Valley gentrification.
The home is situated in a part of Sullivan County that has experienced a great influx of New York City transplants and commuters; and therefore has a great mix of friendly local families and diverse urbanites who seek the beauty and nature of the setting. Within 20 miles there are many restaurants (both fine dining and more common, local types), antique shops, Delaware River recreation, mountain bike trails, running trails, hiking trails, wonderful wildlife, much subject matter for photography, Bethel Woods Performing Arts Center, and much country social activities.
Cochecton is home to this vacation home. Bethel Woods Center For The Arts and Fort Delaware Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Villa Roma Driving Range and Carousel Water and Fun Park.
