Our White River “Avondale House” is a two-story, 3 bedroom/2 bath home on the White River available for short-term rental. Property is easy to find but makes you feel like you are miles from civilization with its private setting and rustic feel. There is a fully-stocked kitchen with a farm sink, soapstone counter tops, and a 5 burner Jenn Air gas cooktop. The kitchen opens to an eating area and living room, complete with satellite TV. Bedroom one, located on the ground floor, has a double bed and TV/DVD combo. There is also a full bathroom with stand-up shower on the ground floor. Bedroom 2, located on the second floor, has a queen bed with a beautiful Pendleton wool blanket to keep you cozy. The Master Bedroom is also located on the second floor. There is a full bathroom on the second floor, convenient to both bedrooms, with a tub/shower combo. There is a small balcony off of the Master Bedroom that overlooks the river. The eating area downstairs opens up onto a lovely screened-in porch for morning coffee or an afternoon nap. There is a gas grill and additional seating on the lower open deck area as well as a fire pit with lawn chairs between the house and the river. An additional deck overlooks the river for fishing and relaxing. The house is well-equipped to relax in a remote setting, seeing that we also use it as a family getaway. Located in Mountain View, this vacation home is in a rural area and on the waterfront. Ozark Folk Center State Park and The Old Mill are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at White River and Buck Island.
