Open floor-plan log home, with spectacular sunset views, surrounded by gardens and huge state forest preserves. 5 miles to Phoenicia, 10 miles to downtown Woodstock, 20 miles to skiing at Hunter Mountain or Belleayre.
Technically a 2 BR, but there are also two additional rooms with twin beds and bunk beds (see photos).
Excellent hiking all around. Wonderful dining in Phoenicia and Woodstock, and fresh produce at local farm stands for home cooking. Fire pit. Grill. New outdoor salt-water hottub. Large porch with swing and outdoor seating. Big-screen TV for Netflix, Amazon, etc., or DVDS (no cable or broadcast tv). In winter you need AWD/4WD to get up hill.
Sleeps 10. Master bedroom suite upstairs with private balcony and amazing view, king bed and full bath (shower and tub); on main floor, there is a bedroom with a queen bed, a room with two single beds, and a full bath (shower and tub); downstairs is a kids' bunk room with two sets of bunk beds and another full bath (shower).

Located in Mount Tremper, this vacation home is in the mountains. Emerson Place Kaleidoscope and Overlook Mountain Trailhead are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Catskill Mountains and Catskill State Park. Consider Byrdcliffe Barn for a night out or Empire State Railway Museum if you're traveling with kids. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
