6 Br Chalet Vacation Rental In Mount Shasta, California

IMPORTANT UPDATE AMID THE COVID - 19 CRISIS: We are taking strict safety procedures at this very secluded house in the forest on the mountain. First and foremost we are not allowing any rentals within 5 days of each other as the virus is said to not live on a surface for longer than 3 days, therefore the house cannot be rented within 5 days of another rental. Secondly, every possible touched surfaces in the house are being thoroughly disinfected, including but not limited to: doors, door knobs, light switches, faucets, chairs, counters, appliances etc. This location is a perfect location to just spend time with your family or small group and enjoy the outdoors. All essential outdoor activities can be enjoyed from this house directly from the property. Activities including but not limited to: hiking, biking, quad riding, meditation, equestrian activities.
The beautiful Altes Chalet is situated on 6 acres just East of Mt. Shasta City on Mount Shasta and is surrounded by big timber, beauty, tranquility and peacefulness. The Chalet can sleep 14 people very comfortably in beds with an additional sofa sleeper downstairs for a total occupancy of 16 and is available for vacation rental year round.

Every season holds something special at the chalet because we are surrounded by acres and acres of open land. So whether you hike, bike, ski, sled, ATV ride, snowmobile, ride horses,river raft, fish or just want to kick back on our beautiful deck and enjoy a some rest and relaxation, this is the place to enjoy it.

The Chalet is situated 5 miles East of Mt. Shasta City and 8 miles from the beautiful community of McCloud. If you are wanting to escape the crowded surrounding of people and houses you will find the Chalet a wonderful rural feeling place to visit. You cannot get any closer to the Mount Shasta Ski Park than here. During winter months you are about 2 minutes from the Ski Park Hwy turn off, and can enjoy Nordic Skiing, Alpine Skiing, Mountain Tubing, Sledding, Dog sledding, snowmobiling, snow shoeing and ice skating. We are situated at about 4200 feet so are well within the snow levels and in fact many sports can be enjoyed right on the property.

The Chalet is fully furnished and you can enjoy cedar vaulted ceilings with slate floors and custom hickory cabinets. This chalet boasts five bedrooms four bedrooms have queen beds, one has bunk beds and as a very unique feature of this chalet the basement is fully finished with it's own TV/ DVD player, two queen size bed nooks and a sofa sleeper, for a total of 6 queen beds, 2 twin beds and the sofa sleeper. There are three full bathrooms, one on each level. The chalet has a very cabin feel inside and is furnished to make you feel comfortable. The kitchen is stocked with all of the equipment you need to feel right at home. There is Direct TV along with a video library, books and board games, WI-fi access and an open loft/office area if you find you might need a desk. There is an uncovered patio/deck along with a covered deck and a BBQ grill.

There is ample parking with plenty of room should you be pulling a trailer of any kind. There are corrals for equestrians to use and well behaved dogs are allowed with a deposit. The price is based on occupancy so whether you are just looking for an intimate getaway with you and your partner or you have a large group of people that wants to enjoy a fabulous time, this is the place for you. There is something for everyone you can hike the mountain, explore the local waterfalls, lakes and rivers, enjoy any sport during any season, or simply kick back and enjoy the magic of Mount Shasta.
