With its tranquil setting overlooking the lake, a short drive to Wisp Resort, Deep Creek State Park, and area shopping and dining, this house has all the amenities you need for a stellar vacation any time of year. On the lower level, find a dramatic stone gas fireplace that's perfect for cozy nights, plus a huge flat-screen TV and surround sound (movie night, anyone?). The foosball table, piano and plenty of board games round out the entertainment offerings, and a nearby wet bar is conveniently set up with a full downstairs refrigerator and a dishwasher. Down the hall, this level features a primary suite with attached bath, plus another bedroom with a single bed, a bunk bed, and a selection of children's books, toys, and other kid-friendly accessories. All five bedrooms include cable-equipped flat screen TVs. On the main floor, a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows boast stunning lake and mountain views and bathe the home in abundant natural sunlight. Expansive cathedral ceilings and an impressive stone fireplace create a grand setting, while the open-concept floor plan allows guests to socialize while cooking, watching the large flat-screen TV, enjoying the indoor/outdoor sound system, or just lounging on the comfortable sofas. A gourmet kitchen is outfitted with modern stainless steel appliances and is stocked with all the cookware and accessories you need to create a delicious home-cooked meal. Elsewhere on the main level, find a second primary suite with king-sized bed and attached full bath, a full hall bath, and another bedroom with a king-sized bed. A wraparound deck (featuring a new gas grill) leads into a covered dining area on one side and a screened-in porch with a seating area on the other. The spacious deck offers spectacular views in the fresh mountain air. A staircase off the living room leads to a charming loft area, with a pullout sofa bed, half-bath, extra seating and a fantastic perspective of the surrounding mountain setting. Double doors off the loft area lead to the spacious, private primary suite, perfect for a romantic get-away. Inside, the spacious room features a king-sized bed, gleaming hardwood floors, walk-in closet, and a private balcony. The large primary bath is especially beautiful, with a stunning soaking tub set against a huge picture window ~perfect for unwinding ~as well as a generous tiled shower stall and double-sink vanity. This home is loaded with special touches indoors and out, from a selection of books and games to the outdoor fire pit and hot tub. Take in a day of playing on the lake or tackling the ski slopes, then head home to unwind ~High Country Home is a true mountain gem. Please note that this home does require 4WD in wintry conditions.
