Escape to this charming A-frame nestled in the woods. Surrounded by towering trees and the sounds of nature, this cozy retreat provides a peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle. The cabin features an inviting interior, complete with a wood-burning stove, comfortable furnishings, and large windows bringing the beauty of the outdoors inside. Oak Ridge is the perfect place to unwind with a good book by the fire, relax in the hot tub, or explore nearby attractions.
Comfortable Bedrooms
The large main loft bedroom has floor-to-ceiling windows (with blackout curtains for when you don't want to take in the sunset), a Nectar King bed, and an office space equipped with extra monitors and lighting. The lower level bedroom boasts a new full mattress. There is also a pull-out queen-sized couch in the living room.
Modern Conveniences
The living room has a large smart TV where you can watch all of your favorite shows on high-speed internet. There is a full-sized washer and dryer in the bathroom so you can pack light! There is also a new dishwasher in the kitchen.
Outdoor Space
The cabin sits on a 1.5 acre heavily wooded lot. You can watch the deer walk by on the expansive front porch, or enjoy your coffee in the back gazebo. You can also end your night in the relaxing hot tub.
Excellent Location
Mountain State Brewery is a 3 minute drive. Wisp resort is a 5 minute drive. Sang Run State Park - the main Youghiogheny River put in point for kayaking, tubing - is only a 5 minutes away!
Child-Friendly
If you are traveling with a small child, we also have a pack and play and pack, play mattress, and linens in the closet. We also have a high chair you can attach to one of the dining room chairs.
Smoking
NO Smoking is allowed within 50-feet of any dwelling on the property. All cigarette butts must be discarded of properly. Those found to break these rules are subject to immediate cancellation of their reservation with a ZERO REFUND policy.
Wildlife
Host has provided a metal container to spread 2-3 handfuls of corn a day so you can enjoy seeing wildlife during your visit at Oak Ridge. Please do not spread more than 2-3 handfuls a day. Please do not attempt to touch or scare any wildlife during your stay at Oak Ridge.
Occupancy
Oak Ridge has a maximum of 4 adults (16 yrs or older) per visit and a total of 5 total (e.g., 4 adults and one-child; or 2 adults and three-children etc.). Any exception to this rule must be confirmed with the Host prior to booking, and must be in writing. Anyone found to have been misleading of said occupancy policy is subject to immediate cancellation of their reservation with no refund to the guest(s). Host reserves the right to visit the property if they believe this rule is being violated. If that is required, guest(s) may be subject to additional fees (e.g., security deposit) for time/expenses lost for the Host, if proven to be true.
McHenry is home to this cabin. While the natural beauty of Deep Creek Lake and Deep Creek Lake State Park can be enjoyed by anyone, those looking for an activity can check out Wisp Resort.
